We do it all the time. We just replace “white people” with “florida man”
Or in my case, other Ohioans.
Not technically a politician, but I figured he was close enough and really this can't be allowed to fly under the radar.
Wha- So his take from Star Wars is....he wants the Empire to win? Not only does he want the Empire to win he's blaming the Republic for Order 66.
That dude is a known idiot. He's a gay man that let all these right wingers shit talk him, his husband and his marriage to his face. Like straight up saying his marriage and love weren't real and they wouldn't even invite them (the gay couple) to the straight couples house if they were having a party. Dave Rubin is the gay friend Republicans and the right has to justify their beliefs because he so desperately wants to be accepted by them.
Yikes.
Ben Shapiro also against people that smoke weed. Whew
Nobody wants you at their gay marriage Ben Fuckiro.
Dude we see this now. Dems are talking about expanding the courts cause of republican bullshit, and the center right is already all "if you break this norm then anything goes when the gop is back in power!" and its like my god, have you not been paying attention? Thats already happening so fuck the gop and your norms
The election isn't even over and people are already trying to conveniently forget the last 4 years so they can go back to whining about the things the gop doesn't care about to try and shame the libs

You got it backwards. Im trying not to repeat another democratic presidency where we pretend Republicans aren't hypocrites and will follow the rules and norms they themselves create.
They just put acb on the court 8 days before an election as you tell me im making a mistake by not going back to a system of rules and norms that allowed us to get here. Fuck that, your position has convinced no one. Elections have consequences, as 4 years of trump has proved. If the right of center doesn't like it, they can try not electing someone as unpopular and bombastic as trump; that excuse worked great the last 4 years re: Clinton

You are trying to make it easier for GOP to cram shit down your throat you dont want in a few years, why you would want to do that Im not sure, listening to harry reid or some shit I guess.
To be fair, if the Dems actually go all in and prove all this "radical leftist bullshit" actually helps the people, then the risk of the GOP coming back later and undoing it all with great fanfare becomes far more unlikely. But it requires both haste and efficacy, hence my jab at incrementalism in the other thread, because that very mindset is the opposite of what would need to happen to sway hearts. All of the leftist hot button issues would basically need to be tackled in 3 years. While I wouldn't say it's impossible, I'm going to call it highly unlikely with the current centrist inclinations.
Because they're doing it now anyways?
What part of "but they are already doing that anyways" dont you compute? They're already packing state Supreme courts, and are denying democrat presidents their nominations on the grounds of "its not unconstitutional so deal with it", but yeah for sure if dems do this then they're actually the ones at fault and the gop holds no responsibility for how they respond.
Yeah okay, you keep thinking that buddy. Keep thinking that while also going "its a republic not a democracy" to explain why people who win less of the vote should consistently wield more political power. Democrats are offering nothing unconstitutional, assuming they win a trifecta, and also offering that as a political solution while winning the majority of votes. If you think that position is weaker than McConnell and trump doing what they did with fewer votes then, imo, you don't actually care about norms or hypocrisy; all you want is your political win with as few political losses as possible. I respect the game, but also lol fuck that.

Realistically, nothing will change until someone or group of someones wealthy enough to bend political power their way act in the interests of the nation instead of themselves. That's the way the power in America works.
