Santorum told host Chris Cuomo he "misspoke" and that his remarks were taken out of context.

"I was not trying to dismiss Native Americans," he said.

One of my Xbox friends is native and takes some (not mean-spirited but still mildly offensive) jokes about it from time to time, and I've definitely used this pun on him lol. I promised not to make those jokes any more and he thanked me, then I said "that's my native resolution" and he kicked me from the party.
