Kids in the 90s grew up watching the OJ Simpson trial. Or in the case of the LA area, watching one particular high speed vehicle pursuit during afternoon cartoon hours (yea you remember those between 2:30pm-5:30pm) and all the over-the-air local news channels cut to the chase that ended with a tight camera shot of the assailant blowing out his own brains with a shotgun.

Try explaining that to kids.
