I'm sure that it will most likely be vs13 or hey vs13 is now 15. But with that being said I don't think that its to far outside of the relm of possibility. Also before you put more emphasis on the word new again, technical speaking any FF would be a new FF for the ps4, as the system hasn't come out yet.

If it wasn't new they would've shown a trailer at the Sony event (especially if it was XIV). It's either a completely new game or Versus. Either way it's gonna be called XV and even if it's Versus renamed it'll likely be very different from what they've shown two years ago. They said development "is starting" so it's really something new.

I dont think V13 will be FF15, unless they changed the story around. V13 was supposed to be based off some variation of the FF 13 universe right? Anyhow, I don't see the logic in rebranding it as FF15.

Didn't they basically say it would use the same mythos, but not necessarily the same world/characters/timeframe? That's not hard to change late in the game; you'd just need to change some terms and wham bam, problem solved.

It is the same mythos (Fabula Nova Crystallis) but completely unrelated world/characters/time/etc. However, Type-0 was developed as XIII-Agito because it was part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis family as well but was eventually re-branded without the XIII. The same could easily be done with XIII-Versus.

The only existing parallel is pretty much the "Ivalice Alliance." Very few of them share actual locations/people/etc. but they do have a common underlying theme (zodiac, races, art direction, history, etc.).

How will the housing area be instanced up? Like will there be an instance of neighborhoods consisting of say 20 plots of land or something? Couldn't really figure it out from the live letter.

So, someone told me there weren't going to be anymore English CC'd Letters from V and onward..... So I'm guessing they either got lazy, forgot, or ran out of fucks to release LFTP Live V in English.

Also, V-III has a confirmed release date, they just won't tell us yet. Which means it still doesnt have a confirmed release date. My guess, it will be getting a lot of exposure at E3 this year. XIV, XIII LR, and V-XIII at E3, should be good. Pretty much confirms that V-XIII is not FFXV in disguise.

I haven't been able to keep up with the dev posts but are there any plans they mentioned yet to start testing during the week? My work schedule is conveniently Fri Sat Sun 5:30am to 6pm and then off mon-thurs so I haven't really got to play at all.
