Korea's behind it.
Edit: Best of those effected by the bombing though.
Yikes, liveleak posting an image that's just a pile of flesh and the bottom half of a severed leg on pavement.
No confirmation if it's actually from Boston, it's so zoomed in.
Oh right, that makes much more sense. Well, moreso than it being an obscure(ish) literary reference, anyway.
The book takes place (partly) in and around Boston, and the plot involves a group of wheelchair-bound Quebecois separatist terrorists. In hindsight I'm actually pretty disappointed that I had to be prompted to even think of it, hah.
Interview with the old guy you see crumpling next to the blast. Apparently the only injury he sustained was a scrape on his knee.
Hope you kids learn to stay away from big public groups.
Er what?

Just arrived back from the US today... Heart goes out to all the families and people affected by this! One of my best friends is a huge marathon runner and actually lived in Boston for over a year (now lives in NYC) and when heard was very worried he was there but he is safe.
Commish confirming 3rd death.
ABC now saying the numbers are 3 dead 130 injured.
They took away my Sports Center for reporting this... Terrorists.
wow, i don't know why, but it didn't really hit home for me until I looked at those liveleak pics. Those are terrible.
edit: also on CNN they're saying that 17 of the injuries are still critical, and docs are pulling ball bearings out of people.
some pics I hadn't seen yet in the thread
