"terrorism" doesn't have to be tied directly to jihadists or anything foreign

Huge difference post-9/11 with the way the U.S. media would portray domestic terrorism vs. Middle Eastern terrorism.

Hell, these recent mass shooters are domestic terrorists, but the media really doesn't label them as such. Put a rag on the head of one of these kids who shot people up and see how hard the media would twist its neck to label them terrorists. Its all about whatever headline will sell the most and claim the most page views. Nothing has changed except for what people have been conditioned to believe the most relevant buzzwords are.

Added note, via CBS news- the bomb casing was a "black pressure cooker", loaded with ball bearings, BB pellets and nails to fill in the cracks around a homemade explosive (see previous post for speculation). Only two bombs (the two that detonated) were actual, the other two + JFK library were not bombings- a fire in the latter case, false alarms in the former.

Not sure if this is old, but the (age 6?) sister of the 8-year-old boy who was killed had a leg blown off; last reports were that she was in "serious, but stable condition." Their mother had undergone brain surgery on Monday night too, according MSNBC.

Hospital reports indicate that his mother is hospitalized with a brain injury- and his six-year-old sister lost a leg in the same explosion. I can only imagine what's going on in the father's head right now.

Just woke up, relieved to see it's still just three dead. With all the people in the area hospitals, I was expecting at least a few more. Boston PD, EMT, and medical professionals, well done.

last update I heard on local radio an hour ago quoted a doctor at the hospital where most were laid up as saying there's several badly injured with amputations, but everyone was in stable condition; I don't believe anyone else is still critical.

I'm not sure what's so inspirational about that. Everyone is trying to help everyone else and he's concerned with finishing just for the sake of finishing? I understand the symbolism in finishing the race in spite but an old guy with a knee scrape crossing the line doesn't really state anything other than "oh the race must go on".

It just reeks of sensationalism.
