This hasn’t exactly been a banner week for CNN, but this is the poop-flavored icing on the cake made of poop. Reporter Susan Candiotti just used pretty much the worst possible (although technically very, very accurate) metaphor to describe the empty streets of Watertown.

Wolf, I’ve never seen anything like it before. Being in Watertown right now the streets are empty. It’s eerie. It’s as though a bomb had dropped somewhere and the streets are clear.
