DLC are fine for me, if they are not included on the disk already.
I don't like paying 3-4$ more per DLC that all it does is run a script on your console to unlock the content that is already on the disk.
But meh
I'm with Adam Orth because we're already online 24/7!
Hell naw and if they do this I'ma pewpew MS/Sony HQ!
Don't care either way. I dealwithit.jpg
My body is ready for the pc master race. Buh Bye MS/PS!

Too easy.
Most of us talked in regards to DLC in the "complete game" thread. This makes things somewhat bad enough as it is if you don't have an internet connection you're really missing out. On top of it, you can't get patch work done. The feeling of being forced really sucks. Maybe if I was ten years younger I wouldn't care and just roll with it.
It would be nice if those that voted they're cool with online 24/7 would say why they voted that way.
I wouldn't buy an always online console.
I still have loads of games on my backlog, and there are enough good RPGs on the NES/SNES/PSX/PS2/DS etc to last a lifetime.
There is no need to put up with that bs. It's just so anti-consumer.
I could list a ton, but here are a few. Also, don't send me PM's about your retarded posts.

Gonna have to go with "Fuck that" there are plenty of hotels and other places that I bring my systems to that don't have free wifi. On top of that it would be a nightmare for lan parties.
I'm okay with a system being always online, but don't make it a requirement... if the system is offline I should still be able to play the game.
Can't lie, this puts a huge grin on my face.

thats what the gaming industry needs.

People intended to play D3 in single player mode? I'm fine with online requirements for games like D3 or other multiplayer games, assuming that the servers stay up consistently and for a long time.
But for pure single player games? It can go fuck off. Subsequently, requiring online for an entire system is pretty fucking stupid.
They wouldn't be able to take their single player character online anyway though, which makes it silly imo. It wouldn't hurt, but I guess for D3 specifically I just don't care about single player enough for it to matter to me.That's the thing, someone might, for whatever reasons.
I'd personally say most multiplayer games having this requirement is plenty reasonable. Although if the 'single player content' is different from the multiplayer and doesn't contribute to character progression, like COD, then requiring online for single player is stupid. If the single player content does contribute to character progression, then it's usually a gray area that I'd treat case by case.If it's not an MMO there's no reason for there to ever be an online requirement.
Yeah, generally it should handled case by case, but I feel it's safer to be on the side of it never being a requirement unless it makes sense. Even then I don't have much hope that common sense applies to companies anymore.
In any case, single player experiences (and I mean real single player) should never have an online requirement. Naturally the more people you want to play with (except local, even though that's been dying steadily) the more of an online requirement is needed.
You mean 'hacked' character/equipment online mode? Never really cared much for it unless I was memory editing.
