WTB use iPod Touch 2nd/3rd/4th edition (or possibly an iPhone if price is right)

Mentioned this in another thread, but I really want to get my baby an iPod Touch so I can put it in this:

and hopefully it'll help to keep her distracted from my phone hahaha.

The big reason, too, is we are flying to CT for vacation in July so I need some few small things that can keep her as behaved as possible on the plane for my and everyone's sanity.

Anyway, according to Amazon the case fits:

iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 2nd, 3rd & 4th generation Apple devices

I am not picky on which it is as long as the price is decent. We'd want to keep it under a hundred bucks for sure. She obviously doesn't need the phone part, it's possible though the original iPhone might end up being cheaper than a second generation iPod touch.

Obviously it needs to work well, but I am not to picky about minor nicks and scratches on the casing. Screen needs to be clean of everything, though.

Out of curiosity, but do you know how much shops charge to replace the battery? (I guess it's something you can't do on your own?) It looks like apply charges about ~$80 to.

Hmm how about this since I have been meaning to change out the battery for a little bit now. Ill pick one up and if it works you can still buy it from me for the price of the battery and shipping. If it doesn't then its OK because I can still sell it for parts.

Today's Mission....Failed.

While putting the screen back on my roommates dog decided to be hyper for the first time ever. This startled me, and caused me to drop the thing on the ground. So now it's bricked. I'm sorry, and will go off to the corner to kill myself with some honor. ;-;

I'll make a video of the way it performs.

Holds a charge just fine, no cracks on the screen.

It had a $40 job done to it to replace the Glass, as it had fell 2 feet onto it's corner about a year ago. Dang flimsy iPhones.
You'll notice the body is a little separated on the top side of it. This is due to the repair job that the guy did. He said the glue he used caused it to lift somewhat due to ribbon placement. I've never attempted to open it - He told me to come back and pay $25 to get the powerbutton fixed, which would then enable him to fix the "lifted-ness" of the body of the phone. If you'd like to, you could probably do this. However if it's going to be in that toy you posted, you never will be touching the power button, nor having any issues with the body slightly lifting.

Does not come with a SIM Card.

Clean ESN - so if you desired to get a SIM card, you could put it on ATT or whichever. Hasn't been unlocked, but I've heard that's not too hard.

Hah - after looking at these pics up close it's a beaten champ, I'll give it that. Still works like a charm.

As far as how I took care of it, I always had it in my front pocket of my jeans. I cleaned out most of any lint that was visible. Smoke-Free and Pet-Free home.
I'm aiming around $70+ shipping, so roughly $75 bucks.

Forgot to show - but Camera also works just fine. Being it a 3GS, you can't record video unless you JailBreak it.

There's no crack on the screen - Just how it's slightly open on the sides. I can understand if that was the case.

I just thought you were planning on having it inside of that little toy the entire time, for the which there would be no worry whatsoever as the toy holds it under pressure the entire time.

I don't need the phone part of it, just have it open in case someone had one for about the same price as an ipod. Ultimately, I do want it in the case fulltime but there are no guarantees she won't figure out how to get it open at some point (she's already starting to figure out how to unlock the baby-safe locks on our cabinets ;_; )

I have an Ipod touch 2nd gen 32gb that's in good condition. Haven't used it since I got my 5th gen ipod touch. Just sits here in my room.

I was gonna be fine with third gen ipod touch; which I thought it was (it's what it was advertised as) but turned out being a 2nd gen, so I had to upgrade anyways (2nd gen didn't go high enough on iOS for games/apps I wanted)
