This had to of been answered, but how the hell do you tank the shark?
Last kill I took place in had at least 5 plds mixe of relic and emp and could not tank it. Endeath aoe would just devastate anyone.
Well that's kinda what I meant giving these are better to begin with they might still have some use after delve... or at the very least the smaller discrepency between delve and wkr will make it so it's less of a delve or gtfo situation we had. At least I think that was SEs idea. Plus good stuff to help you get the delve gear lol
That's more with regular 113 plasm stuff outclassing the old WK gear than anything. For every player with delve megaboss gear, there's probably 50 with just t~5 plasm stuff, on my server anyway.
I doubt the next tier of non-megaboss delve gear is going to obsolete a lot new wkr items, especially things like the mage club, enfeebling boots, mab bullet, and the pet: haste axe.
Where was it stated that new delve will be the same content level as old delve? I don't recall such a thing despite regularly following the dev posts, and it would run contrary to Matsui's vision of introducing harder and harder content as the game evolves (this last patch nonwithstanding, since they admitted they put a bigger gap between old wildskeepers/skirmish and delve than they intended).
there is no word on new delve being lvl 120 event like the current one. All we know only is that the current delve is lvl 120. The new one might as well be lvl 125 (or higher). But I assume since the new delve will introduce rare/ex delve boss weaposn fo scythe, gax, axe and club it would be the same lvl, otherwise it would shift alot of things into wrong directions, if the delve boss weapons are meant to be the base for the new legendary weapons (aka logicly the lvl 125 would be way stronger then the lvl 120 ones).
Prolly new delve will come out with the new area and last naakual introducing the rare/ex GSW Staff Gun and Katana.
They made the mistake of releasing the entire vertical progression of Adoulin all within a short period of time. The "gap" was that they released Delve so soon into the lifecycle of Adoulin.
Players being what we are, instead of progressing through like the dev team wanted, we ignored Skirmish and Reive and dived into Delve completely as soon as it was available.
Delve and its mega-bosses are the endgame according to the chart they gave us.
I don't they have specified between delves which could be taken as they aren't different. Wouldn't making delve higher than old just go and remake the gap bigger again though? Also they tend to like to complete sets and such. So having the new different weapon types be the same ilvl as old kinda makes sense. Instead of basically changing which weapon types and maybe jobs are the best each new delve lol.
Introducing skirmish at the same time was their intention from the start. What you don't understand is SE was giving casuals a choice for those who didn't want 18 man content they could skirmish for end game gear. For those who wanted tougher content that required more people they gave us delve. Now they had to make the weapons better for 18 man content because it was harder and people wouldn't do it if the weapons were just as good as the ones casuals could obtain from low man content like skirmish.
Fought Yumcax the other night for 5 hours and did 25% damage to him in that time. We didn't realize wind damage took his aurora down til the next day. Once we realized that we started taking him down much faster.
We always stunned Mayhem--pretty easy because it has a very long charge-up time.
As for Tidal Guillotine, it's best to try to stun it too, but it has a normal charge time. Unlike the description on BG wiki, it can do damage even though the KO misses and I'm not sure if it's HP based, kinda like Sobek's Tyrant Tusk, but it's best to try to keep everyone full HP and not standing in the same spot (BG wiki says it's single target, but Delve one is conal, so I'm not sure).
Their problem was not when they released Skirmish (level 6 content) (which was not at the same time), it was releasing Delve bosses (up to level 20 content) before releasing everything else in between, and before most players even experienced Skirmish. I don't know why anyone would bother trying to gather six people to try to get the weapon they want, then to get +2 stones, then to get an augment that's actually good, rather than join KI shouts and farming shouts for a weapon that's much, much better than the best augments. Sounds like a waste of time, casual or not.
When Delve was released, the gaps were Reives (100) > Skirmish (105) > Wildskeeper Reives (106) > Delve (110/113/119). In addition, only the first three weren't alliance content.
After the August update, it'll be Reives (100) > Skirmish (105) > new Reives (107ish) > Delve (110/113) > new Skirmish (114) > new Wildskeeper Reives (115) > Delve (119). Not only is this much smoother, but there's party and solo content at > level 110.
When the next tier of Delve is released, I'm sure it'll be higher level than current delve. I can see them as going for levels of something like 115 (T1-3), 120 (T4-5), 125 (boss).
they dont join?
i think its because no one wants them because they are still stuck in abyssea times where they adopted the "i can do it all myself so i dont need you yooo" mentality
this is why MOST NA or NON JPs couldnt beat delve and have to beg for shells and buy for wins... People who are still intact with their previous shells have re-emerged themselves to withstand delve's alliance requirement, aka people working together
JPs on the other hand still rely on their /sh community and it does still work very well on odin. Our pugs here have beaten all 3 delve bosses almost on a daily basis...
for the NA side, i think aside from Mafai's NA LS, no one else r united enough
im sorry for those w/o shells or cant speak/understand JP.... u gotta start working up that social tree you once broke when abyssea is introduced ><
I think it's less to do with a solo/low-man mentality, and more to do with there just aren't enough competent english speaking players left. You can't build a social tree with people that don't exist.
The non-JP playerbase seemed to really die off post-abyssea on my sever, I'd be surprised if there was even 1/3 the number of them playing now as there was at say, 90 cap.
that and its alot easier to stun if you're jpn.
people mistake criticism with elitism a PUG brd isnt gonna help the schs shit when his skill isnt capped and his song have a duration of s tiny fart bursted out in the wind. not to mention no march + gear instrument. Thats not elitism its not wasting time for the orher ally peoples because of potential wipe. when sign ups on event are short we try to fill non heavy key jobs like sch pt brd or cor with pug. but god sometimes people even suck at those things, usually we do fine on tojil like this but we would never attempt foret or ceizak with pugs. the lack of coordination teamplay and gear sometimes makes it impossible
screw that get an ochain, do a few WK and you will get spamed with /tells all day. I afk in my mog house and I get random /tells from people asking me if I have KI's to do shit. LOL
I have even got a few /tells from JPs, can not tell anything they are saying but I can only guess its about delve when they say "Ochain" in auto trans
