fucking lol, wrecked at home like that? nn penguins
fucking lol, wrecked at home like that? nn penguins
inlaws came over.. 6-1 L oh fucking L. Honestly thought Penguins would do better because of all the pings last game but when they get frustrated they lose it.
Bruins looking real scary right now. To wreck the pens like that makes me think the rangers definitely should have been swept XD
To the Bruins fans serious question. Do you dudes actually like the players you have on your team? Cause like, everyone else think they're pieces of shit and all.
Like I thought Raffi Torres was a piece of shit even when he was on the Canucks and I was glad to see him gone. Do you dudes feel like that about Marchand for example?
I like several players on the Bruins.
I just hate Lucic and Marchand.
This is a common theme across all sports when it comes to Boston teams. Beloved in Boston, and thought of as pieces of shit everywhere else.
Anyway, just posting to get on that bandwagon. I typically don't care about hockey, but gotta suck it up when the Bruins are still playing in June.
Spoiler: show
Just got back and I've got an 8 hour drive home tomorrow, so I probably won't catch up on the thread.
Best quote I heard tonight: "I saw better hockey in 2003!". Also, the crowd turned on Volkoun at the drop of a hat. They'd get bloody crucified in the media if they don't start MAF next game.
I like one Bruins player, and it's Seguin.
I used to like Savard because he was funny as hell, but now he's 87'd Q_Q.
The difference between people hating Tom Brady, David Ortiz and then players like Lucic and Marchand is completely different though, so you can't really lump Boston's love of them as a, "us vs the world" thing. People hate Sox/Pats players because those teams win and the media over saturates the market with them. Lucic and Marchand are general pieces of shit and dirty players. People don't hate the Bruins because they win, they hate them because they are shit heads and dirty.
Being a Caps fan, I'll say I loved Hunter and he was one of the dirtiest players ever lol, but the NHL was completely different back then and being dirty wasn't as bad as it is now.
oh and, lolPens, guess my Boston in 5 prediction isn't looking so good, I expected the Pens to show up to at least one game.
Hahahaha, oh shit this reminds me of those 2 games Jets hosted the Capitals... I know exactly how Penguins and Kings fans feel to a degree.
All that bandwagon talk, reminds me of the time I first discovered the NHL thread here on BG when I signed up for XIV coverage. I think I made almost half the posts one year lol? And then the weeks leading up to the Jets announcement. Then interesting games that led to some....memorable posts. /looks at custom title.
Practical final Wednesday, final written Monday and then I can focus on what's left of the playoffs!
FUCK YEAH!
P.S.
You peeps labeled as bandwagoners need to show up in the regular season thread. Some fucking fantastic shit happens there too. You missed some great South East rivalries shit fests! But next season...oh ho ho ho, helloooooooooooooooo Chicago!
inb4 talking about teams that aren't even remotely close to the playoffs, but the Oilers would be wise to take note of the Boston / Pittsburgh series. Having a crazy offensive team on paper means nothing since you can't shoot while flat on the ice. (Ovechkin vs Phoenix aside etc)
Also, trying to play a physical game when it's not really your strongest element won't work either. Now you're stuck in a bind if you're Pittsburgh, back to Vokoun who might be rattled as shit after being pulled tonight, or go with Marc-Andre Fleury just to run him out of town?
LA vs Boston would be a crazy physical finals, but I think Chicago has got this. That being said, the Hawks have stood up to LA's physical play better than I figured they would, so I think they'd be pretty ready for what to expect from the Bruins. Injuries/Miracles in the next few games aside, looks like it's gonna be an Original 6 Finals
Like, I'm amazed at this myself, we were only out-hit in game one by 6 and 10 in game two. That is mind boggling considering, Chicago doesn't hit lol. We're more happy to just use speed and move around you normally. We actually lead too in hits at one point in game one very briefly.
