Ugh. I am thoroughly disappointed. The Penguins are making Rask look like a hybrid of Roy, Brodeur, and Hasek in their primes. Bylsma isn't able to get this team under wraps because he's too buddy buddy with everyone. There is simply no excuse for a team with the offensive firepower the Pens have, to score two fucking goals in three games. Letang is literally playing himself out of a contract right now. Every time he touches the puck he turns it over it seems. Malkin continues to make lazy cross ice passes that are easily picked off. Vokoun played phenomenally and made some absurd saves. Here's my prediction for the offseason.

Iginla, Murray, and Morrow all leave. Fleury gets whacked with the buyout. Bylsma gets whacked for a more disciplinary style coach. The team seriously explores trading Malkin. I love Malkin but the Penguins have shown at this point that the two superstar center mold is not working. I would not be all that opposed to trading Malkin. The return would be amazing.

Well it's not even that. I consider the Pens superstars to be Malkin, Neal, Crosby, and Letang. None of them are producing. Which would be alright if others picked up the slack. But they aren't. Brandon Sutter has been invisible on offense. Same with Kunitz, Dupuis, and Iginla. I seriously wonder if the Pens intend to make a run at Ryan Miller in the offseason. The only way that happens is a compliance buyout on Fleury.

Part of me wished Horton scored on the breakaway in OT off Letang's turnover. Fucking letang has been a major buzzkill this series and was playing a little bit reckless vs NYI/OTT but at least then he was scoring.

Agree all 3 leave + Bylsma gone. Fleury may stay.

Malkin to Colorado for 1st overall + Duchene + some other things would be pretty sweet. I've always said trade Malkin, including when we traded Staal - I said obviously Staal forced our hand, but it should've been Geno traded had we had our say - but no one also runs with the idea unless Pens are slumping.

And Iginla is injured if you were unaware; so I'm cutting him a little slack. But yes him and others aren't putting up points the way we hoped when the trade deadline hit.

Beau Bennett was also fucking spectacular last night; if hes not in the top 12 starting day 1 forwards next October Shero should be fired for leaving Bylsma in / hiring a moron to replace him.

Miller + RFA rights to Hodgson + 1st for Malkin
O Ekman Larrson + Antoinne Vermette + 1st/2nd/3rd pick for Malkin
    Shea Weber for Malkin

I dont see trades working with Vancouver, Calgary, SJ, Edmonton, LA, Anaheim, Winnepeg working. Other than Buffalo and maybe 1 other basement dwellar (I.E. Florida) I wouldn't trade Malkin in-conference.

Agreed on Bennett. I love that kid. He's really going to be something special in a few years. I could see Roy swinging Duchene + 1st Rounder for Malkin. If they could get him to move a bit I'd be pushing for Landeskog personally lol. Phoenix would also be a decent destination. They crave a big name star player that could bring in some fans. I don't see Nashville ever trading Weber unless he requests it. Realistically though I don't see Shero trading Malkin. But after four straight flame outs in the playoffs I believe that all options need to be explored. I love Fleury but he's fucked in the head when it comes playoff time. Zero confidence. Last night was the perfect opportunity to start Fleury again but they stuck with Vokoun. That's basically screaming that the Pens management has lost all confidence in him. At this point I'm not even sure the Pens should make Letang an offer. He's going to want over 6 million a year at least. But he has absolutely imploded in this round. He looks like a AHLer called up to fill in and not a Norris Trophy candidate. He's never played this bad in his entire career. It's painful to watch.

    Just very disappointing.

And yeah, Morrow seemed to be everywhere last night. But so did Horton and Krecji lol.

Well, Greg Campbell's done. That guy deserves a hero's welcome, and I was glad to hear the audience shouting "CAMP-BELL!" after the PK.

Damn..he was playing well for us too. Looks like a broken leg. The fact that he was somewhat skating around and attempting to pick off pucks when he got up for that few seconds...with a broken leg, is quite astonishing.

Campbell was stationary moving as little as possible and still nearly broke up a couple of plays. Nothing but respect there. He gutted that out like a fucking champ.
