I've followed the hockey this year with more interest and vigor than I've had since the early 90's, and that's mostly because of the folks here. I often don't have time to post, but I do keep up reading this thread almost every day. It's brought me back to the love of a sport (the whole sport, not just one team) that I had many, many years ago.

also well said, absolutely this. I feel a little luckier than most between getting to experience this Blackhawks team as my hockey introduction (maybe next year Cats, he said, staring vacantly out the window) and more importantly the all-star squad of friends that comprises 90% of the BG Hawks fanbase (and one very frowny Penguin) that have undoubtedly made the game all the more incredible to watch and participate in and who get all the credit for me watching in the first place. Getting to watch some of the games together, all the experiences and discussion between games, the ridiculous regular season and these fucking playoffs, it's been amazing and that includes the entirety of the hackey commonwealth here. So thank you as well.


Still feel like Blue is ultimately at fault for the Panthers season, though.
