Jersey is great outside of select areas; Ridgewood / Ho-Ho-Kus / etc. are nice in North Jersey. I lived in Mendham (near Morristown) for several years and it's a great place. I went to high school right near Princeton, NJ; super nice area. NY has just as many shitty places. I swear most New Yorkers pretend like Long Island isn't a part of NY; I was born on Long Island and I can tell you that, outside of the Hamptons / Montauk area, it is one of the worst places in the U.S.

Ontario is fucking shit, drove through it (and MB/SK) on my way to Calgary. Took longer to drive through ON than it took to get through MB and SK lol. But once you get through SE Ontario (Ottawa/Toronto and GTA), its literally just an empty area.

South Jersey is very nice; there's tons of acrage properties and farms and vineyards and all types of rural/suburban comfy living. You cross the river into North Jersey and you don't see another tree til you're 40 miles north of NYC. Industrial multifamily wasteland.

So my roommate's girlfriend comes over on Friday and wants me to come out because she's meeting up with a bunch of her single girlfriends.
