Plus, everyone loves the Whalers. There was even a "Lets go Whalers" chant at Warped Tour up in Boston a few years ago. And if you dont love em, then you can git out.

Sort of off-topic but between the growth of NBCSN and the new Fox Sports One coming soon, I really hope ESPN is knocked down a few pegs. For years they've been shit but really the only viable 24/7 sports network nationally.

So although I'm dissapointed that we didn't win last night's game (props to Hawks, and again grats to them), I'm more sad for the fact that there is no more hockey until October...what will I do?! It's going to be a long few months.

Once I go through that "Ugh..." feeling after a loss like this, then I think "OMG I WANT MORE!!! FEED MEEEEE!!". And that's hockey folks.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think of it, I know that answer to my own question: What will I do? Play ARR of course. And then the season will start and I will be playing ARR and watching hockey! (/excite)

Contract buyouts start immediately. Entry draft in five days. Free agency starts July 5th. I dunno about the B's but the Caps have dev camp starting on July 8th.

I'll try to keep up but I haven't been around hackey enough to know the business side of things. I'm only dimly aware of it in eggball. Right now the next thing on my radar is the Yotes leaving Phoenix, lol.

Technically yes but teams are already publicly stating if they're using the buyouts and Briere was already confirmed by the Flyers.

Just as a note, the buyouts cannot happen until 48hrs after the cup, so in theory, they can start tomorrow night. And they go until July 4th. Any that are not used this year can be used next year.
