I get that y'all are used to berating those in poopdeck when they aren't liberals, but it's usually good to give a person the benefit of the doubt and let them at least explain what they believe before you counter it.

What conclusions do you think the Right are correct about?

If one assumes the four key factors of the market are:

Corporate Regulation
Taxation
Government Services (public services)
Union Strength

With regard to regulation of company practices I'd say that I agree that the government is entrenched a bit too deep. I'm glad they are there to break up monopolies and to attempt to have companies raise/comply to safety standards but the role of government should be heavily limited aside from this.

With regard to taxation, I personally feel that reducing taxes is probably not the best way to go but unfortunately I'm not well-versed in tax policies to make any sort of statement here. If anything, based on what I've been reading... corporations are getting away with paying nothing or next-to-nothing in taxes and that needs to be shored up so I don't really agree with most right wing folks on that.

As far as government services go, I don't really think the government should be providing anything that isn't considered a necessity (I would consider things like Social Security to be a necessity though.) I could clarify further but I honestly don't really want to have this discussion here which is why I am being brief/vague with my answers.

if you are taking beginning classes in economics that are moving your opinion of policy to the right you are not processing data and coming to a conclusion, you are allowing that you are being convinced. economics is not polarizing information in itself, there has to be some sort of dynamic filtering that information through a lens that makes one political doctrine more appealing than the next. assuming some sort of propaganda is being applied is not asking in a dickish or trolling way.

if you take a couple of econ courses and that convinces you to change your world view on policy you are either incredibly dumb or incredibly gullible to a teachers spin on said information

I find these to be polar opposites tbh. How do you expect the gov't to be limited on controlling cooperations while closing loopholes?

Unfortunately, you should never ignore a stance on unions when addressing the others. If gov't isn't to regulate cooperations and the people aren't allowed to collectively do so (unions), you find the gap between the rich and poor growing and growing.

We don't have a society that fosters the idea of caring for your fellow man in regards to money. There is no incentive whatsoever for rich people to be philanthropists. We encourage the idea that the more money you have the more successful you are. People will work for the bare minimum because the bare minimum is better than zero. And without regulations the rich will continue to do w/e they can to take advantage of that fact. Which leaves the poor with no options for growth.
