Edit: I see your edit, looks like 2x 10k accessories and 5x 30k weapons from IV/V and the other 8-20k armor/accessories from I/II/III.

They said everything would be purchasable with points though I thought. I'd just expect a really high cost on the Naakual weapons if so.

Thinking about it, hasn't SE inadvertently put 1 handers back down a tier again? 2 handers get the full DMG from the new weapons. 1 handers don't have an offhand weapon that matches the new stuff until they can beat the Delve Naakual.

So the in between stage where everyone is using the points buyable weapons is gonna mean 1 handers are shafted.

I wonder if you'd be better off just single wielding during that time because of how much higher the DMG is compared to older stuff. Guess a well-augmented Skirmish weapon would work too.

Yes, and Dagger jobs were particularly fucked. Dagger jobs either have to abandon MS/Rudra's/etc. or main-hand a lower base damage weapon. Also, the new daggers have 200 delay instead of something more like 176 (R/E) which decreases our TP gain.

Yeah, this is probably true even for the NQ weapon on DNC. I'll probably be single-wielding Aphotic Kukri. Makes me wish I could find an Airy Buckler!

Well BLU could potentially Dual Wield the sword with the club so at least there's that for them. Same deal for PLD.

THF / BST / NIN could technically use the Sword with their relevant weapons but not sure their sword skillswould make that remotely viable. THF/BST with their D/E are probably out but a NIN at C rating may be able to pull it off.

DNC gets completely shafted. Well I guess WHM too if you wanted to get technical.

Ninja and BST get similarly shafted. It might actually be worth dualwielding the new "NQ" R/Ex weapons with Ghastly Stone +2 Skirmish weapons.

Editted my post whilst you were posting. NIN could theoretically use the sword. They have a C rating so might be able to pull it off. BST with their E rating have no chance though.

So do you actually need to have done any skirmish related stuff to access Delve NMs or areas? The info about it kinda implied you did but haven't seen it mentioned, only that you need to have the naakual KI for the corresponding zone to actually enter.

Probably really close either way considering realmrazer is ~87.7% the base damage of Requiescat and lower skill, but still...

So if farming points is easy enough, and getting these new R/EX weapons is easy enough...does that mean that RME is essentially useless until the update, and maybe even then only useful if you have the 99 (assuming there's no increase across the board for all levels)?

Main problem with sword is that outside of Excalibur and Almace it has no good method of dealing pure physical damage. Having to drop those for "superior" options is rather crippling, and makes club even more attractive as at least an option for when Requiescat is resisted or otherwise ineffective.

Also i'm hearing that all you need to do is kill the NMs once and then you can farm all the currency needed to buy solo, if this is true that's pretty silly since that means we can knock out our only set of content in no time at all and have literally nothing to do til the next game breaking update.

Also i'm hearing that all you need to do is kill the NMs once and then you can farm all the currency needed to buy solo, if this is true that's pretty silly since that means we can knock out our only set of content in no time at all and have literally nothing to do til the next game breaking update.

There is a reason they changed the way meritWS work. You can min/max or you can cap 2 and spread the remaining points elsewhere.
