Also all this base dmg is making slugwinder actually competetive now. With new bow I think sidewinders is the most dmging ws

Sidenote: Just had worst pug farm ever... most of the people I know are good but got some peeps I didn't recognize... people didn't know which way was left or right. Both the schs I had assigned to me got lost following me within one minute which since I kept stopping to let melees pull adds off me is kinda wtf.... someone claims 3rd nm. I finally get all 3 after a few people die and someone pulls one off of me. Then someone else tags it so I don't even get it when he dies. Finally like 10 minutes in I die from 0 cures the whole run even though I had 2 schs whose only job was to keep me alive...
Sidewinder is certainly the most damaging WS for bow (except JR). I already did the math in some ffxiah thread, but the accuracy is so low it's not really worth using (from what others have told me via delve mobs). Refulgent is really good in voidwatch (lol) and apex arrow is pretty horrible compared to last stand. Someone said they were using arching arrow as well, but even with a critical hit with speleogen bow, it still doesn't beat last stand. Anyway, I probably shouldn't have mentioned pure damage situations since they're fairly insignificant and infrequent.

Is DRK/SAM better for delve for some reason? Survivability?

iirc it was around -50 racc. Shouldn't be too hard to sub some in especially since rng already gets alot of acc bonus and is piling on agi.... and yeah without significant +crit dmg arching arrow is still decently worse then sidewinder if it crits.... should feel bad using it outside of abyssea lol

    As opposed to what, Drk/War?

That always has been a gimp sub for the VW era when fights were ~3mins with downtime between or it can pull ahead when you are grossly underbuffed.

So just had weirdest thing happen in delve... basically if you aggroed the nms you got on the hate list no matter what. Like I aggro pull to super tank no spikes or anything and whm cures me and they go to whm I cure myself they come back. Me and whm die with pld standing there it they deaggro then a few seconds later aggro pld... whm cures that pld bam it goes to them

Questing regarding geo on the delve bosses.

Do you have your geo stand in there to keep both debuffs up for bee and tojil? It sounds like so much AoE damage is going down to be in there on a mage, even in capped pdt, mdt. IE lahar would suck ass if the geo got hit with it constantly. If any of your geos could tell me there stratedgy for keeping debuffs up on these mobs I will greatly appreciate it(IE the most efficient time to use dematerialize, bolster, ecliptic attrician, blaze of glory, etc.....).

Thank you in advance, and congrats on your wins o/.

Are people bead farming Kurma just straight zerging it with debuffs?

2 DD parties? 3? GEO RDM and what else for debuffing? BLU?

pop till 100% msg for kurma

we did it the SC + MB style method

PLD THF SAM SCH WHM BRD
    BLMx4 SCH BRD
    BLMx4 SCH BRD

    sharkbite > kasha
    atonement > shoha
    enthunder and marches for melee
scherzo and ballad for BLM PT
    klimaform and thunderstorm for blm

first 50% dont kite, tank it like a man if blm got hate, he doesnt have any shitty AOE until tremor. tank and spank and SC and MB together until 50% then use your douse

below 50% with scherzo u wont die to tremor usually but if people got hate, good for them to stand away from the pack

this is old school down the earth method, average 10-12 mins i would say, subject to harden shell

there are melee ways as well if you can dispel harden shell on regular basis, infact i havent try so idk if he resist finale/dispel badly

exactly my thoughts. Seeing how im gearing sam, with mythic coming up, i would do bow.

at the same time, i can use it atm on rng for ranger fantasy XI

anni/yoichi is good damage with very good hate control, for pure damage, you cant compare really.... its like trying to seperate apoc/catas vs ragnarok/resolution

    Thanks for the time stamps.

Also, you can Aura Steal the Harden Shell at high success rate as well as Absorb-Attribute, but somewhat lower success rate and it builds resistance. I also landed one finale out of 3 kills without t/n, so it's possible, just highly unlikely. Dispel never landed without ES.

Voracious Trunk is usually pretty accurate partly cause it's not the normal dispel elements

I'm not in their group, but I'd assume that they used a Geo-closure evasion down spell on the NM, while the GEO stood near the RNGs with an Indi-closure accuracy up spell active.

The JPs have been farming Trex on Cerberus. Just confirmed with the NA that did go as a random PLD lol.

It was one of his first trips in Delve as well ><

That must be the life, logging on and haphazardly stepping into probably the most difficult and rare thing to obtain in the game..

Haven't played since like 2009 but keep up with the game pretty well. Am I correct in assuming that these bosses really aren't "that" hard? Less so than void watch when it was first released? Or is this like some serious absolute virtue type shit that just happened to be killed in the first month due to some insanely awesome play by a select alliance consisting of only the top tier RNGs + Buffers and the most highly geared and cohesive tank party imaginable?

I feel like this will all be farmable by a large quantity of groups by the end of the summer, am I wrong in this assumption?

Definitely harder than vw. Idiots will ruin shit for you. You wont see a pug group beating these... hell you will see pug groups failing at fodder mobs in there or just the regular nms. Guess people forget they can't non stop pop fanatics

Gunna take some skill and well put together pts probably consistenting largely of hateless or low hate dmg. At least that's what I take away reading and little I've fought. Beads are a bit of a cockblock too

I believed you need constant players to team up for these mega bosses.
Team work, skills and hmm... hard work.

Tried 3 boxing Kurma to see how enspell spam worked.

Managed to get kurma down to 61% before dying at about the 17-18min mark (I had to spend a fair amount of time in PDT gear and some hate issues arose from spamming cure 4). I wasn't very fortunate on tortoise song spam but enthunder was definitely causing MDT to go up quite fast. Enspells had pretty low macc but after the first 8% (first reset) I had gotten up to 59dmg unresisted enthunder, first unresisted enthunder was 15 damage. Completely forgot to use formless strikes so can't comment on that.

Assuming it raises the MDT directly, 2 mnks and 2 mura sams should have 0 issues taking this down in well under the time limit. MNK MNK SAM SAM BRD WHM should be feasible but curing may be an issue when it begins to use tremor. Hopefully will get a chance to test this soon. If mura doesn't work then 4 mnks with enspell should be able to achieve something similar.
