All I know about him is that we let him depop once when we focused on removing debuffs transferred to our melee and then killed him about 5x in q row at 8 minutes per kill when we focused on applying useless debuffs like threnody, requiem, etc. The melee said there was a very definite evasion difference between debugged and not, but they also echoed the earlier sentiment that they thought his vulnerabilities shifted. Apparently one guy would jump to the top of the parse, then another, etc. It was supposedly much easier to handle over all when he had a ton of debuffs though. A JP friend said 7-14, but I don't know where he got it from.

The biggest difference we noticed on him was taking different damage types. In one fight I was the only slashing DD there and died, as soon as I unweakened I was doing 7.5k Resos and 1k+ normal swings until it started dropping back to normal.

It seems to me that it's similar to the Salvage Cerb but for all damage types rather than just Melee/Magic (although has anyone actually confirmed it's as simple as Melee/Magic for him?). Sidenote but the Einherjar Cerb works in the same way as Salvage Cerb which I only noticed like 2 weeks ago.

I don't use sc so I assume it would full time gear ? Mainly wondering if using this can make figuring snapshot % from gear easier ? Specially for piece with job that have no rapid shot trait ?

It seems pretty conclusive from Jem's post that its not just magic<>physical but spreads across all damage types. With 4 DDs of differing weapon type (mura sam being the 4th type) you should easily be able to get the fight down to around 10mins, its just never going to be a fight you'd want to do on boss runs since you'll be stacking rngs and maybe a few slashing melee, which is a shame since tax'et can be a very quick fight and is completely harmless whilst going down a lot faster than chapuli will.

I'm pretty sure his resistance is purely based on use of emetic discharge rather than the amount of debuffs being transferred, based on a few nights of fighting it with varying numbers of people the damage remained pretty consistent. Stacking a bunch of harmless debuffs makes fight a lot safer though since it will use tp fast and if it gets chances to use booming/cimicine often there is a chance of random deaths.

Cerb definitely is just physical<>magical, his resistance didn't change when I swapped from GKT to polearm.

Yeah I mean for reference when we were doing Mastop for Beads we took 2 Muras, 1 MNK, 1 DRK and maybe 2 RNGs? It was dying in like 7-8 mins and could certainly have been quicker since we only had like 13 or 14 people that night.

That makes sense. We were wondering why nukes/Wildfire were randomly doing amazing damage last night. In that case, Formless Strikes is also a good substitute for Mura SAM (our MNK also noticed crazy damage spikes on Formless occasionally).

Also, not sure whether it was a coincidence with people hitting enmity cap or what, but around 40% on a couple of the fights, he would start to go a bit crazy on hate, bouncing between different melee and occasionally a mage.

Last thing- I didn't test last night, but any thoughts on whether a few Geomancer debuffs would trick him into using Emetic (they don't get transferred)? We were using GEO debuffs last night, but there were always other debuffs on also so I can't really confirm/reject.

We went without Blunt damage and were still pulling ~8 minute kills, which actually makes him faster than Tax'et for us (~10 minutes mostly due to the Exuviation spam phase). We'll probably do the bee with a mix of melee/rangers due to lack of dedicated rangers, so it might make sense for us to do Mastop instead of Tax'et.

Generally speaking its going to be better to pick 2 nms to fight from the same tier due to how far away they can spawn, even if chapuli took a bit longer to kill.

With a mixed setup twith and chapuli will both be fast anyway

For Ceizak in particular, I think you're squarely looking at picking NMs from the first tier (which essentially boils down to Chapuli and Twitherym since Scorp is such a 'tard) if you want to avoid unnecessary run distances. Even if you decide to do Tax'et and Mastop, any time you spend running down that long dead end killing stuff or waiting for someone to pull monsters back to a safer spot is wasted. It doesn't matter if you do only one of them or both of them, you'd be wasting the same amount of time either way (potentially 2-3 minutes or more, depending on position) if either of them were down that long hall. Because of the layout in Ceiz fracture, all of the first tier mobs spawn locations are on the path to the boss or just a slight diversion, while many of the spawn locations for the second tier ones are way off the path to the boss room.

If you do TIV+V inside for Ceizak, just make your pld have 3-4 pair of powder to full time flee, find gnat, kill(rng can use arma for magic dmg+piercing+1 melee for slashing) (8min) while pld+sch exuv moth=> pull close to melee=> die in a min. If you can't bring enough melee and chapuli take 10-12min for you(it can take that long for us), that might actually be faster.

edit: also chapuli/butterfly bead are easier to find on ah.

Do pop NM's despawn pets like it VW when they pop? BST has the jug pet Gooey Gerard, which has a -10% max HP tp move, and another tp move which gives the mob -33% def and attack.

Also since each zone has a single mob type you could keep Killer Instinct up 4/5 minutes and give the party a -15% damage taken and +15% damage done and +15 killer trait on all the mobs you fight, given the proper pet.

No they don't since it's just a normal pop. Also I did some rudimentary testing and while KI effects do work inside they are severely reduced on fodder probably more so on nms. Looked like about half but I didn't have good test setup

I did see that test, but results looked strange, may be easier to have the BST use Killer Instinct then someone in your party who can cast a spell a couple times quickly to test the effect. Then have BST test af3+2 body not using killer instinct, primal rend /sub spell or something like that.

Yeah my dmg amounts were too low to get very accurate detail of how much lower it is. Just finished meriting my mules KI so can use my main to hold and use something better to test. Body should follow since it's just effecting correlation

I really would not recommend doing T4-5 during boss run. There's too much aggro to deal with, which wastes time with sleeps/sacking, and the mobs can be very far down some of the tunnels. Butterfly goes down really fast, 4-6m, and chapuli can take a bit. It's safe to start weapon skilling chapuli around 20% though, maybe higher. That sped up our kills quite a bit. After that, I ran to bee with pld and pulled it all the way to the start. Everything deaggroed along the way so it worked well. Wasn't my original plan, but pld was about to die so I didn't have much of a choice. Next time, if we use same strategy, I'll start running as the 2nd NM is close to dying to save time.

Oh yeah and bee can be shadowbound.

Isn't pulling bee to start a huge waste of time ?

Depends how you think about it, either alli runs to it or you pull it back to alli. It won't make much of a difference time-wise as long as the people pulling it start close to where Bee is.

You can pull it while people are killing the final NM so not really (run to the wall anyway). I didn't mean literally the start either. We were in the hallway after the first room with potential mobs. People can start buffing etc. while mob is incoming. It also saves time that you would normally need for sacking/logging off. It's really not that far of a pull either.

Question. Once Tax'et uses Exuviation 20 or so times to lower its dt, once it's lowered, is there anything it or you can do to raise it's -dt? Not that I want to, but it's just good to know.

    Not that I've ever seen.
