Equipment that increases Dark Magic (and merits, iirc) go off your base Dark Magic Skill before using Dark Arts. If your skill after the gear/merits doesn't exceed the amount you'd get from Dark Arts, you get the amount from Dark Arts. So you were probably missing quite a lot of magic accuracy.

I seem to recall getting my merit bonus to skill when my skills weren't capped (dark skill was 404 during dark arts), but I definitely remember base skill+gear not being counted if the combined skill was below 334 before using dark arts.

Hm, how is that 2x MNK group doing Mantra?
I'm guessing its yet another group and having the ability to stun everything negates the need for it. Alternatively, their cors are random dealing/wildcarding when only a couple of JA recasts are down and its only a 10min fight so each mnk will only require 1 reset.
If a taru MNK could survive with Mantra, then a galka DRK could survive without it.
Edit: Well, maybe not. Galka DRK only has ~100 more HP than a taru MNK. That's not 30%.
So did some more thorough testing of killer instinct in delve. Doing 300% spirits within on fodder at 1453 hp netted me 681 dmg (exactly what is expected) without and 749 with. So looks like only 10% boost on fodder. Did it on scorpion so have varying hps for the test but all were the expected 120/256 hp without and with they were also 10% more than that. So basically looks like 2/3s for bst type monster correlation though I can't really test af3 body given how crappy my mules bst is lol
Isn't Mantra dispellable? Doesn't Tojil/Achukka have an AoE dispel?

Obviously mantra is nice, I don't see it being essential if lahar isn't getting off though. Seems more like a partial counter to weakness. I'd guess they are using 2 whm or whm + sch in each DD party since there was only mention of 4 mnks.
It's only just occurred to me how ludicrous 4 MNKs downing it in under 10 minutes actually is. That's 541 DPS per MNK for a 10 minutes flat kill.
Our RNG DPS for Tojil was 193.8 / 189.53 / 177.84 / 145.43 / 134.73 / 119.68
The Bee only needs 516 DPS total from all DD's combined to kill in 25 minutes and people are struggling to do that with RNG's with a piercing bonus.
I mean it's certainly possible that 4 MNK's can do it, it's just that is such a massive increase in damage output from what people are currently managing that it caught me offguard.
Don't forget that Hundred Fists gets used, probably multiple times if they were relying on Wild Card. You attack faster during Hundred Fists than you do with capped delay from magic haste, gear, etc. This also opens up 2 songs to use for attack songs or any other buffs. It would seem to me that they relied on Wild Card to down the mob in 10 minutes.
60 second hundred fists with proper gear swaps for it would make a difference, not going to make a non-hundred fists fight comparabe length to the rng method. If wild card failed on both parties, I doubt it would even add another 1 minute to the fight.
500-600 DPS shouldn't be terrible to achieve with adoulin level correction. As long as you are stacking all the necessary debuffs/buffs to cap your acc/attack your DPS will be the same whether its a EM Chapuli or a delve boss. Looking at the rng numbers people have quoted for bee, it isn't hard to cap attack, and tojil is a lot less evasive. Since there has been mention of formless, perhaps the first 25% is PDT and you can speed up that part considerably with the mnk method.

SE said delve bosses were supposed to be extraordinarily difficult to beat given the current available gear and the associated content level. There are intermediary pieces of gear from content level just under delve bosses that have yet to be implemented(second batch of Naakual drops, new Bayld gear, Skirmish gear from the new zones and 3 pages of brand new delve equipment from 3 new zones and 3 new delves). With the new gear, the damage gap become smaller and give non RNG jobs a chance. They said ultimately the new gear would have stats not unlike what a Level 150 player would wear. I'd say the delve(non boss) stuff we have now is ~level 125ish.
