I really want to go test out BST DPS against something where you're not risking a popset. But then it comes down to 'Do I want to spend 40m worth of Plasm just to see what a BST can do?'

Kinda disappointed that people already have a mentality of if you don't have rigors you can't do delve, but you have to do delve to get rigors. Was ignored by 3 groups before finally getting in on a piste run, I parsed 3rd with 95relic,had the highest acc as well. Can't wait to get rigors and go back to crushing shit. Just kinda sad to see this shit isn't even like void watch.
The content has been out for over a month. The time where people complained about selective recruitment is long gone; you could have farmed weapons for every job twice by now.
BST is supposed to get new delve quality jug pets in the next update, that along with the 1hand update might make it interesting. Hopefully they will have good damage and good TP moves. If you don't test now post update BST will have large enough boost that if you are loosing anything it will be very little.
My guess the main problem with BST is TP gain speed.
Which is exactly why gear ladders and a gear ladder in FFXI are troublesome.
If you quit for a while and try to come back you're gonna be fucked. Only have a 99 Mythic? Gimp, get out my party right now.
Maybe it will mean more people playing support or healer jobs so that they can gear other jobs. Also I am sure they will make tiers that have been out for a while easier than they are when they are first released.
II have been on 3 times since before the delve patch, I was well geared before skirmish shit all over everything and then delve all over skirmish. This whole expansion hasn't been fun to play. Revies were ochain or gtfo, the mobs where a bitch to solo and with everything stacking up I just found no motivation to play so I took a break.
At least voidwatch was styled where a few goods could carry the bad and gave people are hadn't been grinding from patch day a chance. Don't get it twisted I out parsed a few delve dad's and was behind the 2 dad's who would normally have been on par with me pre delve. It's people who have a mentality that 1 slot suddenly invalidated my whole role.
Let me explain to you why people ignored you:
That being said, if people ignore you, here's an idea: make your own groups. Don't be one of the people who would rather shout asking for someone to make a group for something they need. Even if you have no clue about Delve, spending 5 minutes looking @ BG wiki should be enough to make your own group and it shouldn't take long to do either with the /tell spam.
What Diomer had to say, so much.
There are a few choices you have right now, Gokku. You either can sit back and complain about not being number 1 with your 95 relic, join PUG shouts with a job that is geared appropriately for your community, or you can start your own shouts and come on whatever job you want to come on.
In reality for a farm, you only need 3 competent DDs, 1 PLD, and 1 half awake WHM~SCH. You can literally fill your farm with PUPs and still have a successful plasm farm.
And the NMs are easy if you read BG or ask around for info.
And please, don't even try to white knight the crap system that is VW.
This has been a problem for awhile. When I actually get to use bst I usually have the highest average ws of pretty much any job going except when there is a decent disparity in buffs or everyone is attack capping and my white dmg isn't horribad especially when af3 body works.... but getting to 100 is painful. Granted the times I get to bring bst are the times not getting much haste buffs
The problem is how large the reduction of TP per hit is from DW. 288 delay axes with 30% DW go from 7.6 to 5.5 tp per hit, that is .70 delay and .72 tp per hit. You get 2hand jobs very close to or at delay reduction cap with just haste. Where as BST if they are at or near the delay reduction cap while using haste and DW they are getting tp at .72 the rate of 2hand jobs or single wield.
Anyone got suggestions on a DT+HP gear set for sam for use vs Tojil? Been trying to put a set together but finding it difficult when weighing up when to use -dt vs +hp
Delve plasma farms actually operate like the bolded in practice. Even if you formed your own group and it was filled with such horrible people that it came in at 3,000 Plasm, you just have to do that 10 times to get the weapon of your choice. How many times could you say that about VW? Honestly, it's LIGHT YEARS better than VW in terms of effort/reward.
I actually have been looking into this, and if you are able to go /war. You will only be attacking 6-7% slower, if capped magic, gear haste and capped haste samba. you will be getting 38% more TP per hit, +10% DA, +10 attack, +25 acc 3/5 minutes, +25% attack 3/5. You lose the tp and damage from extra hit when doing WS, and any stats that you may be able to use on offhand, though you can use shield now. I hope they make some other change for 1hand/DW so that they don't fall behind 2hand when using high haste. But seems we are getting off topic.
So my Tax'et alliance today experienced some unusual issue. On the first pop, it did 17 Exuviations and then stopped doing it at all even though there were several debuffs on the it. We wasted too much time waiting for it to do Exuviation again, so we decided to hold off on Soul Voice BRD rotation and other buffs for the next pop. On the next pop, it stopped doing Exuviations after 18, so we decided to go into attack mode. We managed to kill it quite easily on this pop. Several of us in the alliance found it weird that it would stop using Exuviation even though there were debuffs still on the mob. I suspect that Paralyze proccing during one of its Exuviation attempts may have affected things. If you could somehow lock Tax'et from doing Exuviation even though debuffs are on it, it might help in fractures where you'd want to kill him just a little bit faster.
You don't need the full 20 exuviations to kill it in a decent amount of time, 12~15 is a solid number and you won't really notice your damage being capped, at least that's my experience with it.
We are having a tough time stunning TP moves on Delve NMs and bosses. What are stunners doing to reduce lag from Geo spells and are they using a 3rd party program or not?
