It only regened because it probably did the spikes/SS/Buff tp move. THe SS was preventing your DOT from doing its job.

Oh fuck, that could be it. Any reason why the stun didn't reset?
Tried Tojil today after killing 5/5 NM just to see what it would be like but stuns weren't really getting off due to not being able to see animation. Are there any suggestions to make it more visible? Like dat swapping NM/fillmode/dat swapping animation?(if possible?)
If you use TParty, you should see the HP% of mobs.
So tested a few bst moves. Purulent Ooze didn't work on raptor 3 times in a row watching hp to make sure. Tried Tortoise Stomp.... took a few tries to even get the move to land and when it did the def down didn't proc.
I did however get infrasonics to land on matamata first try. Which gives a rather significant evasion down. Haven't finished testing it yet since I wasn't really prepared for how much it gave but the one try took a EM worm with 408 evasion down to 303-305 looks like either about -100ish or -25% idk will test more later. Oh and it's 2 charges and lasts 3 min. Very strange though since it never shows up in my log that it wears off and you can't overwrite it which makes keeping it up kinda annoying maybe. Maybe I just need to mess with my filters idk. Don't really see anything else that might be good other than the Corrosive Ooze already mentioned and maybe one of the paralyze moves if there proc rate is anywhere near what I read on wiki
The time we did it may have been a fluke then. But we definitely were resisting, then not after sac'ing it. We sac'ed it about 8 minutes the time we did wipe and had to sac it. Last night we tried it again when 2-3 people dc'd during our fight and stun still resisted. 3/4 last night because of this...
I was allowed to come on a Tojil kill using the RNG strat described in this thread. We did a few practice runs just killing all 5 NMs until we got to the point where we'd killed them all with ~9 minutes remaining, took a quick look at Tojil, then went back in with beads and killed him. Raptor + matamata took about six and a half minutes (again, using strats already described); Tojil fight duration was 23 minutes and 21 seconds.
Setup was:
PLD PLD SCH RDM GEO WHM
RNG RNG RNG BRD COR SCH
RNG RNG RNG BRD COR DRG
One of the PLDs switched places with the SCH in the RNG party after the NMs were killed and sac'd the boss room.
Thanks to everyone who contributed information and experiences.
edit for more details:
- SCHs stunned Lahar, Blistering Roar, and Meteor only, as far as I remember; 14 and 13 stuns respectively with 100% land rate. Meteor started somewhere below 50%. Tojil never tried to cast Kaustra. RDM and BRDs tried to dispel Batholithic Shell; usually took a few tries to get both effects off (RDM had 83.48% success on Dispel, 96/115, but I don't know what her set was; one BRD had 4/28 on Magic Finale and the other BRD had 0/15). Silence and Slow had 100% land rate but only 2 and 3 casts respectively. The first Silence was ES'd I think.
- Four Annihilators, two Yoichis. Most RNGs subbed DRG but one of the Annihilator RNGs was /WAR and didn't pull hate at all; not sure how close he was to threat cap. Lowest acc rate was 85.94%, highest was 94.71%. Highest number of shots fired was 256. We had 8 songs and 4 rolls the entire time. As the token Angon DRG, I basically did fuck-all because it was safer, but in retrospect I could've stayed on Tojil the entire time. First 25% took more time than the remaining 75%.
Damage breakdown:
- I didn't notice the PLD doing anything particularly special, but she has pretty awesome gear. I'm not sure exactly what kinds of sets she has.
You can get away with not stunning any TP moves if your PLD's turtle up and aren't stupid (I.e. throw on HP gear when weakened) and you're using the RNG strat. We've never had it kill a PLD apart from on our first attempt where we were clueless.
Also, someone mentioned earlier that Meteor from it is a joke. It isn't and is worth stunning along with Kaustra. We let one go through on one of our runs the other day and it promptly dropped like 4 of our 5 RNG's along with a ton of support jobs.
So if it were an option would it be faster for all the RNG to try and use Wildfire for the first 25% and switch to Anni or is it not even a concern worth bothering with?
It's decreased physical and increased magical 100% to 75% though, how much does it equate to in real damage difference with Conoroach compared to Wildfire under the circumstances? I think Cono could possibly do more damage anyway?
If you have good sets and buff for wf it does pretty good dmg so wouldn't take too much to make them comparative. And then stronger ODD. Part of the problem is some of the buffs for it would lower the shooting.
Trex doesn't resist WF? Surprising.
