    turtle isnt that bad

    for melee burn locking eft is better, that shit is just annoying to remedy/panecea/erase/rebuff/resong, not to mention im sure 10 people will want "erase pls im binded" from that damn NM ><

    turtle at least all ur cor/brd/melee can just stand together and hit reroll and resongs

    We do have 4 rng relic in LS 3 99 anni's and yoichi but 1 refuses to buy the expansion idk why, so we had to scrap that idea. We would like to do but we arent asking non ls members to come.

    The 4 in 25min sounds like a good idea for us to try. We planned on doing a few runs beforehand beadless just to see how ppl acted, if they got baffled with all the stuff going on, and to time the nm's and run to boss. But thks sounds like we need to try the 4x25 thing out.

    You could try one melee party and one rng party. chuck mnks at it until they die, all the while keeping namas/coro on rngs.

    I went stunner for the first time last night for my group and I hit some really bad lag spikes occasionally. At one point I could still see things happening and my chat log was still scrolling, but a lag spike pretty much froze my character up and I couldn't do anything for a few seconds, obviously this happened right as it was using the weakness move. Fortunately we were able to fight through the weakness move and still kill it, but it sucks that something like that can potentially fuck up a kill.
    This has never happened before outside of Delve, so when I go stunner again I'm gonna have to turn my settings down while I'm in there to eliminate any lag

    So if we switch a pt around to rngs instead of mnks, should we do a 3x mnk cor whm brd pt and a drk rngx3 cor brd pt then, dropping the war alltogether? And have the drk twilight scythe it for the 1st 25% or having no whm in pt to cure him a bad idea?

    A 3rd brd in the mage pt is a bit unnecessary, if marches are needed you can just switch one of the main brds to that pt in the rotation, and as i said earlier a pld adds a lot of safety to the run, not 100% needed but i like having it there

    The few times we tried rng & melees the melee died almost immediately or never got the right buffs from our brds, from whm being bad or whatever it just doesn't work for us, would go either HAM with rngs or melee burn not a hybrid. And rng dps is obviously much worse because you can't use sidewinder/ls with plds so beads almost necessary

    A Hybrid set-up can work, it's just not going to be better than pure melee or pure RNG's.

    The main issue I see with a hybrid set-up is this. It's still going to require you to stun whilst the melees zerg at the start. You won't have enough time to down it with RNG's if your melees eat dirt / your stuns miss before hitting the stun wall. So basically since you're relying on good stunning at the start, you may as well take a melee set-up.

    Speaking to a JP, they got the shark down to 10% some time last week using DRK SAM SAM COR WHM BRDx2 + SCH/BLM SCH/BLM SCH/RDM GEO BRD PLD.

    He said horn aura comes up at ~100% 75% 50% and below 25% randomly. It can be removed same way as tchakka, by spamming thunder shot and thunder magic (since stuns will resist all the sch can start nuking til its off). They also tried with relic rngs but he said it didn't go great with only 2 PLDs.

    Obviously I wasn't there so I can't confirm anything but these JPs do pickup runs within a fairly large pool of players and haven't failed to kill Tojil in 20ish runs (a number of which I have attended), so take it as you will.

    If you bring a RDM, it can silence the Eft (so no Paralyga), and then Chainspell stun it when the poison aura starts. You won't need chainspell for the boss, and the RDM can still apply Dia III, Silence, and Gravity II to help the DDs kill easier.

    So IF the weakness move goes off on tojil, assuming a MNK/melee based group, should you wear HP+x or HP+% to maximize survival?

    I think HP+ gets the mantra bonus but HP%+ does not.

    i know most people use DT- sets for mnks as well if weakened, im not sure if needed cos i dont play MNK, but when i go as drk, i do switch to DT- pretty often if i get hate on any NMs or if i get weakened

    he will never 1 shot me even if weakend on a DT- set

    well except for raptor, that shit just tear u down with TA and WS even with full DT- >.>

    Nice, that do make shark a lot more killable if thunder shot/magic remove the shield, thx for the info.

    I honestly think our revised RNG set-up will work but he's probably melee burnable if you can remove his shield quickly.

    I would think melee would actually be more ideal to have more targets for hate reset without having to run around so he's not running around with his shield up with the potential to Marine Mayhem.

    Well with the RNG strat you would aim for him to not move at all.
