Forgot to mention they didn't bead anything out, which is the other advantage of the melee burn setup. Idk how they dealt with cracklaw, I've only done it a couple of times and I know the gimmick is very similar to matamata but not sure if its actually based on damage dealt or primary damage over the period between tp moves. I've only done it with a formless mnk on it then physical zerg after.

2 PLDs is enough to prevent these NMs from running around, as long as the RNGs aren't retarded with hate. /DRG makes it fairly easy. We had a non-relic RNG come to bee last night with delve gun. He did pull hate, but it was easily remedied with a quick high jump. In fact, we had more issues with WHM pulling hate from cures in the DD party (we only had 3 RNG).

We're going to do a hybrid setup for tojil also, at least until we get some of the h2h. I'll just have our SCH rasa+stun for the first 3:30m, which should be enough to knock off the first 25%, and RNG can take it from there if/when MNKs die.

Edit: I should say that the melees were basically dead for the majority of the fight, so they certainly weren't preventing the mob from moving. Also, you shouldn't have any issues using sidewinder/LS on the regular NMs with /DRG.

Disagree for Shark. We had 2 PLD's for both our Shark attempts and it was going after our BRD's. Had nothing to do with our RNG's, it was pure and simply the fact it was spamming hate reset.

crackclaw is pretty easy with muras, so if you have the sams already might as well go that route

2 PLD won't stop the shark from ever moving, shark moving at all and getting badly timed mayhems off is what will end a rng based run.

Problem with hydrid setups that don't use only melees that directly benefit the rngs is you end up marginalising all your DDs output.

Their SAMs definitely all had mura since he said they used it for Krab so I guess thats cracklaw dealt with also.

Hence my belief that melee would be more ideal than RNG burn. It doesn't sound at all viable to hold him in place with your damage sources so spread out.

I mean I was R1000+ the whole run but even so Fondle was complaining about spikes too but managed to get it right.

Gonna be annoyed if it's purely my actual physical reaction time that's to blame as that's not something I feel I can improve upon. I've asked ccl to let me come sch to some non-boss farming runs anyway just so I can practice with BM see if it makes enough of a difference. If it doesn't I'm just gonna have to hang up sch, maybe lvl Geo or something, which I really don't want to do.

Edit: Maybe I'll try find some kinda onevent stun bot and use that, see if it's fast enough (if it isn't, I can blame australian internet, which will boost my self esteem at least).
If you use Spellcast, and particularly if you use -my- spellcasts, that's likely the largest impact on your casting lag (though turning off animation effects may also help). I've made a slight revision to my sch spellcast to put stun checks at the very top of the rules, and <return /> afterwards so that it doesn't try to work on anything else. I already know that even simple cures while using the full spellcast can induce lag of up to half a second (hopefully less with r4, but it partly depends on the user's computer specs), and you really want to avoid that on anything time-sensitive.

Were the real exploits of the Craklaw and Krabakarpo ever figured out?

Could anyone say what Tojil's estimated evasion is? Haven't been able to find that in the thread.

It's viable. The RNG's don't pull hate, it's the mages that do and PLD's can grab him back pretty quickly. If it had to hate reset more people before getting to the backline then we'd have been fine. 16 backline jobs and 2 frontline was not enough.

Plus Marine Mayhem isn't really that bad because you can outrun it. Tidal Guillotine was the bigger bitch.

Would making a /raw /ma Stun <t> macro and just using windower scripts be the fastest method?

That's what I did for CS stun back in the day, never found anything else nearly as efficient.

So bgwiki's info wasn't too specific, but we were fighting Unfettered Twitherym several times as part of our getting people used to ceizak and farming those drops. Bgwiki lists the gimmick as hitting the nm with a skillchain (L1) that matches the game day. I believe I read people say that it could be any skillchain that has the day as a property, like Liquefaction, Fusion, Light, for fireday.

So I thought, I wonder if it really matters? If we're going to make people skillchain we might as well use the strongest one. I was able to confirm this works, or rather, in 5 or 6 fights it hasn't failed yet. The best analogy would be proc'ing JA in dynamis. It's not that you have to use a specific skillchain and nothing else works, you can simply spam Light or Darkness (whichever for the current game day) repeatedly until it works and you'll eventually break resistance. The chance to break also seems to be very high. More than half the time it breaks on 1 sc, the longest attempt took 3.

A noob question, when people quoting acc 600+ which means
(Combat Skill +weapon and Gears' ACC + dex)
    Am I correct?
Just want to confirm this to build the melee set

We had this today; have never seen the airlixirs drop first. No idea what LS was talking about in terms of message.

@ post above me - when you enter Delve, there is a message something about Pressure.
That message didn't come everytime. It's more like Random.
Did you have 2 items dropped from the 5 NMs ?

Guh, got Tojil down to 44%. Made the mistake of bringing a PLD and not reapply brd buffs before they wore. Need to rep PLD with another GEO or SCH or WHM then I think it'll get rocked

Every run we have had we bring 1 PLD , we do fine. In multiple instances we've had key members die, disconnect, lag out ... and in a few of those we've salvaged the fight and still won. The point is your set up may have more issues than just this paladin slot, or perhaps you all just need a bit of practice at it. All in all, be a bit more open minded about what possibly went down and don't assume that one slot will be the single fix you need for 44% ! :D
