Did you miscount TP moves? sometimes they go off with nothing in the chat log just animation. Also you have to make sure the 7th one finishes the animation before you start using formless strikes. If you have a THF make sure they're not using a stupid twilight dagger, I had a group that did that one time...

Maybe a spike effect triggered on it? I don't know if MNK weards any gear that has any kind of spikes on it.

If it wasn't known already, Chapuli can be WSd as long as you do it while its casting, Just did one 100-0 with 7 rngs wsing from 100% during spells, took 9 mins.

I've done 150+ Matamata's and have never waited for 7th TP move to finish animation before using Formless. If you have only a mnk on it with Rigor's, you don't even have to count TP moves. Once you hit for 0-1 the next TP move is Formless, once I see the red lines i use it and go to town. Can't be lag because we rotate 3 mnk's and all use Formless when they see red lines starting. As for it not taking the increased damage after 7 tp moves, I agree someone is doing magic while is physical mode for sure.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't need to finish animation, it moves to the next phase of damage as soon as it starts using the TP move.

One time for some reason it went unclaimed on my group for a few seconds after 1-2 moves and that seemed to reset the counter. So when we went to go after 7 we still hurt it a bit but not quite enough

With Rigors or the Oaxipur (totally butchered that spelling), can a PUP, given the exact buffs as MNKs, using accuracy food and gear, and using the sharpshooter frame, perform well on these mega bosses?

With Oatixur you'll likely be fine. PUP has a bit more trouble piecing together the accuracy gear.

However, PUP is at a distinct disadvantage for the first 25%.

I see. So the Formless Strikes are the big necessity.

MNK is good for a few reasons, it has 2 dmg bonus stages with 100-75 being formless, and 25-0 being blunt. Mantra rotation and high base hp is also helpful because tojil can hit very hard. Plus MNK is one of the easiest jobs to put together a decent set of gear from scratch, so its accessible to a lot of people.

If it was just about overall dmg, it would be 6 DRKs as the DD, but in all likelihood they would die.

Although you could make a case for a tsurumaru sam now!

Then the game repays your kind karma for not lotting over others by having the anomaly expert piss in your cheerios by giving you a random item.

Not everyone in my LS traded in their KI, but those who did obtained an Airlixer +1. It's quite amusing that all of those people already had the item that the Anomaly Expert originally chose for them

Jokers (JP LS on Odin) did 5NM+Shark a few days ago using MNKs and a SAM or two, I believe. Don't know exact setup.

Bill does go with us. We don't stop our LS members doing stuff outside of LS. We're kinda restricted in how frequently we can do stuff because some of our members can only make weekend runs.



It seems strange to think that Bee is potentially the least accessible boss now since it's the one that hasn't been 5 NM'ed. I think after ammo update Bee might be 5 NM'able too though. We managed a 12 min RNG kill at the weekend so can't be far off.

Looking at that set-up, it looks very similar to to a Tojil set-up except with SAM's.

DISCLAIMER: That is pure speculation. The mage sub for MNK is pretty stretching but MP pool is too small for a DRK. And RDM sub would give them enspell for Aura.

Can anyone attempt to communicate with the JP's who took down the shark? The reward for killing all three is probably one of the last mysteries of delve, aside from any unknown weakness triggers.

Well that's been sorted out now. There is still the weird occasional message that can appear at the beginning of Delve though. I don't think I've seen anyone personally report more than the first message so far.

Not sure what this could possibly effect since people are clearing Delve anyways. Maybe it's just purely flavor text with one message for each zone (and messages already in place for future Delve zones)?
