To answer my own question in regards to the Craklaw at least, it doesn't seem to have a magic damage cap. Was able to kill it pretty quickly 3 times in a row by doing the following:
Stick Formless Stike Monks on it until its HP drops to roughly 80%
Start WSing and/or cancel Formless after hit 80% and should fall over quickly
Worked 3 times in a row average 3 minute fight or so. Would guess you can do the same thing with nuking it down to 80%, but obviously wouldn't be as quick. We didn't bother trying it in the reverse manner.
wondering it the panacea removes the weakend status tojil inflicts, just currious since jp's buying the hell out of em and their price has sky rocketed to 1.5 mil a stack.
any insight or knowledge on this?

just killed shark and got 2 xbows;;
got alixir +1 for my bonus item so lame.
NPC can give you Airlixir+2 for clearing all 3.

To give some more info...
Ranger method. Killed Jagil + urganite.
Killed shark boss with 8minutes left in zone. Could be faster, as there was dragoon deaths + 1rng death and some disparity between RNG damages.

Melee strat works on well enough on bee, we just really undershot acc and timed out at 4%. Formless strikes was having a little effect on damage under 25% I'm pretty sure. It wasn't giving full damage, but damage got a decent enough boost from it. Wouldn't really say it's worth doing over rng strat, but completely doable for groups without proper RNG.

We made the mistake of not alternating soul voice on madrigals, that was probably our biggest issue. MNK MNK DRK WHM COR BRD(4song), MNK MNK DRG WHM COR BRD(3song), SCH SCH GEO GEO RDM PLD. We had 55% acc give or take, which would be about 50 acc off assuming it would cap at 80% with the zone buff crap. Big issue was hate capping out on mages due to low damage dealt(mix of acc issues and huge DT), ended up wiping and resetting enmity at 13% and failed to finish that off with 5min.

JPs on our server say that every time a message pops up from the fracture the stats of the boss are increased. They say 20-25 minutes = easy, 10-15 minutes = very difficult.
SE had actually mentioned something along those lines a few days before they removed access to the boss room @30min mark. Boss slowly raged from start time to end.
