I asked this a page ago, but I'll ask again with more clarification.

For a first win, is not having a DRG going to ruin everything? Let's assume the MNKs are all good enough. I can put a very good PUP in the DRG's spot (Armor Shatterer) too.

Viable? Please don't tell me to just get one. I'll just ask you to transfer here and join me. This server is completely barren. If there is talent that isn't spoken for, show yourself; I can't find you.

Well assuming Armor Shatterer covers Angon/Spirit Surge Jump Def down, the other issue with no DRG is nobody to take advantage of the piercing bonus window. I'm not sure if that would be a deal breaker or not but it's a pretty hefty advantage. Granted he has Bee PA but our DRG decimates my Senbaak DRK in piercing weak periods on Delve bosses.

It is a notable difference, but you do not have what you do not have. Try a good PUP instead and let us know how it goes.

Technically the automaton has piercing damage, but alright. Attempts tonight. Beads after the stat correction update next week.

For reference the other DD is a very good WAR. May put in a Senbaak DRK for first kill if we have to.

Before Oatixur, a well geared DRG is an incredibly noticeable difference. After 75% (prior to which my dps looks horizontal), I'd parse even or higher than the Rigor MNKs with my Ryunohige thanks to that advantage until 25% hit, then I'd fall slightly behind again.

After, I can hardly even keep up during piercing. My damage is much less significant now. However, being able to do Angon -> Spirit Surge Jump -> Spirit Surge Jump -> Angon is extremely helpful, though. If I get my 2hr back from Wild Card, I have one or the other up the entire fight.

We plan on beading kurma for our first run.

Unless you are anticipating a wipe strategy there is no point in using any beads. If you can't down the 5 NMs in 25min you are going to have a hard time on Tojil.

That is a pretty large issue. Just to put it into perspective, I was beating some of our Oatixur MNKs even when I was using Bereaver. I think last kill with Senbaak I was 50k+ clear of some of them and even the closest to me was 30k behind (I seem to think it was Me 246k, DRG 235k, 1st MNK 215k, rest 180-210k).

It's kinda skewed because you have like 1 slashing/piercing DD milking the whole window whereas your MNK's are sharing their bonus damage window 4 ways. I wouldn't really include the first 25% as a bonus window for them because they aren't even that far ahead of a normal DD. So theoretically they should lose to the DRK and DRG.

When I use our Senbaak on Tojil, I end up doing around 20-22% with the MNKs in around 16-18%. 240k dealt versus 200~ or so. Senbaak made a big difference but there's no reason to be miles behind a MNK with Bereaver. Our Ryuno DRG for comparison would tow in around 12%~


Killspeed is about 5 minutes. LR always wears off at 50% if I use it at 100%, which makes me sad while I wait for COR reset during slashing weak without my JAs.

I suspect that it has something to do with their gear choices, stacking too much acc or something. What's the set that you use for Tojil?

Probably other problems too. It's a Senbaak and Ryu 99, so they should still be overcoming our Rigor MNKs with some acc in place of other pieces of gear.

For Tojil, I used to use a full acc set. I pretty much just use my normal TP set now though and I capped acc last parse.

And maybe it's just that our LS is full of asshats but if anybody can't/won't pull their weight on a certain job then they don't come that job. Like if we know someone sucks as DD/WHM/BRD/whatever then they flat out cannot come that job. If they suck on multiple jobs then they generally get replaced permanently or only get into the ally if there's no other choice.

Actually recently met a guy who just left asura because it was too "cut throat" for him lol. I wouldn't really mind since it's kinda self fueling... and I'd imagine most good lss could/would do that if they would still have 18 players on the needed jobs after doing that lol. Which is the main problem some servers are running into. To my knowledge only one english ls has enough players to do that. I'd join them but since it's ran by and is largely EU members I just can't make the times. So usually what happens is you join some ls with some good some bad or decent and try to have the good carry the bad while trying to help the bad... just can't really do that on these at least not on first wins. On the flip side I know people who have gone to asura recently to get delve bosses done... so some people definitely don't mind that mentality to get stuff done

Check their WS frequency. I think I sit around 35~ or so? for Tojil kills. One run I was half watching TV and didnt have near the norm WS numbers I should and my contribution to the fight was terrible.

Honestly, we could be a lot stricter. We have far too many people already and there is a decent gap between our best and worst players. Our worst players are definitely above PUG level though.

We do kinda restrict who comes what jobs but none of our players are really that bad. It's kinda by design because the LS is made up of people who we had already done events with in the past. So it's almost invite only basis as you wouldn't have been pearled if you were too bad.

I don't think we've pushed anyone into server transferring away for that reason though. People knew what they were getting in for (we're certainly not uber strict anyway) so nobody will have seen that 'cut-throat' behavior from us.

It's probably not even the most skilled LS I've ever been in tbh.

I do find it kinda funny that somehow Asura has ended up with this reputation though given the reputation it had in the past.

Idk I don't really follow them lol. Might explain why some of my offers to buy stuff get forgotten. THen again could just be the huge timezone diff

Chances are if you wipe, stuns are already being resisted, so you're pretty much screwed anyway.

Tried enthunder on lightningsday, and RDM did the usual CS Thunder IV for 1.9kish. Aura didn't go down ever.
