Sam is what win parse for us, but drg doesn't do bad for us neither on shark, it often did beat our mnk. Our fight time were about 8min ish including 1 sleep for rebuff.

How is the SAM managing to win the parse? Given any time I'm on SAM, I'm 2 boxing a BRD and helping heal, erase, and finale but I'm always around 14.5-16%. Then again, I'm using hybrid a lot of the time to make sure I'm not sponging hardcore when I switch to the BRD, but we've never had any SAM get over 17% on shark. I'm wondering if it's just because some of my melee are more cautious as far as hybrid usage goes.
Maybe he uses shark gkt and they use buffs more suited to that like misers roll?
Are you serious? You just said you are 2boxing which is obviously hurting your ability to WS on time, spend maximum time in regular tp gear rather than hybrid. Commonsenseplease
Combine that with the fact Sam loses far more of its DPS by not hitting WS as soon as you have tp, when compared to a job like mnk you don't even need to hit WS macro at all and still retain 80%~ of your maximum DPS.
SAMs max DPS potential with miser's or samurai (or both) swapped in for rogues is higher than DRG or MNK with w/e rolls suit them best.
Just wondering has anyone noticed any improved drop rates on beads for outside NMs? Idk if luck or what but we got 2/2 on kurma 2/3 on pieste then 3/3 on matamata. And there is a shit ton of beads on Sirens AH and bazaars
Read the entire post; I said none of our SAMs have gone above 17% and obviously outlined the reasons why I haven't hit that high because I know I won't. Commonsenseplease; the answer however could be Misers or SAM roll.
Yeah we all have shark GKT, but we've stuck with Rogues/Chaos/Fighters/Hunters so Misers may be what the difference is.
I read the entire post, you've gone as high as 16% while 2boxing, if your other SAMs who aren't 2boxing but have all the relevant gear (pretty much everything is easily obtained/cookie cutter aside from tenryu+1/duplus which are miniscule on their own) can't get above 17% then they suck (i.e. inattentive, unable to hit WS macro in a timely fashion, spend too much time in hybrid/pdt gear or all of the aforementioned).
Sam should be right up with the drg whether it be rogues or miser/samurai.
Suck is quite obviously the wrong word here; it's not like we have a problem killing it. I was just curious if there was something done differently than the way we do it that was causing the SAM's damage to be higher. Spending "too much time" in hybrid is not always the DD's fault either since we sometimes use WHMs we haven't gone with before and thus defense down stays on some DDs longer than it should be.
2nd NA Tojil kill, half pug
Would like to give my thanks to based god
btw all 4 auras went down almost instantly.. Can give more info in a few mins
Hey I've been playing a job in a scenario that will prevent me from getting anywhere near its maximum potential output, why won't it do gud dmg.
I don't see how suck isn't appropriate, you are saying that your other SAMs aren't able to output as much as you whilst you are playing with 1 hand tied behind your back (figurative).
17% (Them) > 16%-14.5% (Me) which means that they did more output than me still. Moreover, I'm extremely good at two boxing and anyone who has seen me do it knows that it's hardly a "handicap" for me most of the time, however I was still never expecting to win parses and in fact I make fun of anyone I beat on them. We full clear all 3 zones sans beads easily so I highly doubt it's an issue of sucking. My question has already been answered if Misers was actually what they were using.
we use chaos/fighter/hunter/sam roll for shark, we don't use miser's, I prefer sam roll over rogue for our shark setup.
Unless you go for something like mnkX4 or use crit ws, I don't think rogue is worth it but that's just me.
Why mention your strenuous brd duties if you're such a god at 2boxing, surely it would be irrelevant.
The words that follow seem to back pedal on the first half of the sentence.
Lol ok, wasn't your question since Miser's or Samurai's roll aren't why Sam should be winning the parse.
What you don't seem to get is that this is based on your completely arbitrary parse percentage and I was just bored.
I really shouldn't bother responding to this seriously, but how much time I spend on the other character is entirely dependent on how smooth the fight goes. You can twist what I say all you want but SAM's damage is absolute ass from 25% > 0, (Mura hasn't seemed very effective on this phase either) otherwise I wouldn't have even asked if there was anything different done. Using a roll that would drop the x-hit down by a swing would give them a large boost over the Monk who would benefit more from Rogues. MNK can avoid their shit damage phase with Formless so theoretically they should win, however /RUN makes that a little less of an advantage. Realistically a ton of things can shift the parse results to favor whoever such as fight duration, setup, how long is spent during a specific phase, or if one or more people aren't doing what they're supposed to be like Formless Strikes.
Did miser's roll recently get reworked in a ninja update? Its a terrible roll and especially terrible for SAM that gets a high TP return on WS anyway.
I had a great idea (I think it is). Make a text file windower script containing information for all jobs for each zone. So you can execute it into party chat and you won't forget to say information for new people in PUGs.
For Example (I haven't done it yet):
input /p Morimar Boss Run - Find your Job under each NM and read every word
wait 1
input /p Matamata
wait 1
input /p PALADIN - hold NM blah blah blah
wait 1
input /p MONK
wait 1
input /p designated tanking monk uses physical dmg etc....
you get the point![]()
Miser's Roll hasn't been modified. The difference is Tsurumaru's Save TP and Ionis's Save TP effect (5), giving you a baseline 30 Save TP. A Lucky Roll on Miser's gives you 20, putting you at the cap of 50 Save TP. If you have enough Store TP to hit 25 TP per hit for regular melee (particularly easy when combined with sam roll), you're at a 3-hit build.
Of course that -only- benefits sam. Any other job, the 25 Save TP from Miser's + Ionis is going to do next to nothing. 2-handers aside from sam can't reach a 4-hit in normal melee (well, might be able to with sam roll, so perhaps..), but can already reach a 5-hit without the Save TP, so it only lets them not worry about missing the main weaponskill hit. 1-handers get about one attack round shaved off, which is a pretty minor improvement (less than 3% DPS gain), and easily beaten by several other rolls.
