Awesome intel, greatly appreciate it. That narrows down the only 2 NMs I was worried about, thanks.

Not quite so awesome, I was wrong. Our SAM does use Mura for Gnat, I was mistaken. My apologies.
this event has really ruined my urge to play ffxi, the fact that its so utterly pug unfriendly has led to this small inner circle on the server that clears shit with each other. Then theres all the other scrubs *including me* that will get tossed a bone here and there but your not in the circle your more of a pitty invite then anything else.
Confirmed BRD debuffs force Exuv but don't heal it, but noted that it built resistance to Threnody (I think the BRD spammed them for the first five minutes or so). Anyway, easy clear with not even my own PUG once I pushed the strat; not even a bard rotation!
How is that different from ANYTHING that has existed in FFXI since release?
PUGs only do content after it has become stale and nerfed. Abyssea, VW and everything else was all strictly LS-only when it first came out and only became PUG-friendly after everyone had all of the Atma and VW was nerfed to hell.
Okay, I guess you have a point with Salvage but even that was really unfriendly to PUGs, at least when ToAU first came out. I would never go to Salvage with randoms who can't lot/pass cells quickly or didn't know how to play their jobs effectively. Most groups did Salvage with the same 6 people every time (I just remembered - we did Salvage together back on Cerberus! :D). Anything that you do with the same 6 people is the same thing he described, as "inner circle" or "clique" content.
I'd prefer if delve scaled based on party size, so if you had 6 tojil was still do able but let's say 1-5+ tojil wasn't so you needed to go far beads. My real issue is that the entrance bar is currently set at legion levels. They need to open the event up to more people. I wouldn't mind a middle ground in difficulty of like early nni.
It really is not that difficult. Grab 2 DD parties, 1 mage party, ???, profit. The notion of being able to take down Tojil with probably <25% of the DPS output and no versatility in support that you can muster with an alliance is not really a great idea, unless say, item level drops matching skirmish could be created for it. Even then, why?
i dont understand some ppls thinking. They said delve MBs are suppose to be rated t20. Top content in the game only the top groups are able to kill. And its been what 2 months and ppl want it nerfed to 6 manned?? Thats what beads are for to make it easier. Not everyone is suppose to kill.
Welll..... the bosses are not really that difficult, though. You need a little buffer-swapping coordination (not super hard), the right strategy (which can be obtained from this thread), and otherwise it's just a difficult-to-obtain gear check (other Fracture boss weapons, Daurds, Annihilators, etc.)
The hardest enemies in Fracture are "Dropped Packets" and "Bad Lag."
Don't forget the dearth of adequate players with adequate gear. That is really killing things on some servers
idk about aby, I wasn't playing when those released, but all VW stuff from city bosses to rex to PW were constantly being farmed by english pugs on my server from like the first day they each came out. Legion was pugged a ton as well. Where as there have been zero successful delve non-JP delve MB runs afaik, unless you want to count an LS shouting for a couple of support jobs at the last minute.
Seems like the biggest issue against non-JP pug attempts here (on tojil anyway) isn't coordination, but stuns. The SCHs you find in shout aren't likely to stun bot, and the people that attempt to lead these runs don't do it themselves.
no no no
Legion was totally different then delve. Legion was all embrava/PD/stunlock bitchga. I really dont see why we should water down events again when they started to pick up and began to become challenging in a not unfair way (Legion was just retarded in that department). How about you try to form a group and get it done with people. more an dmore shells are getting the hang of delve and clearing it, some even filling up missing spots with outside people. not everything should be lowmannable in FFXI period!
besides the 5./6. august update is allready an indirict nerf to delve. with all the skill+ on weapons and m.acc on staves etc. you have one hurdle tossed out of your way: getting people with adequate gear. Its like piss easy to gear after that update for delve.
This is 100% correct. You can screw up the song rotation. You can screw up rolls. You can let melees die. You can DD with less than stellar gear (I mean, we all had to kill tojil w/o any boss weapons @ first). But you cannot screw up stuns. Bad stunner = guaranteed loss. This is partly why I believe the update on Monday won't do much to help PUGs.
I've significantly updated the Dakuwaqa BG Wiki page with information gleaned from this thread, my own clears, and the JP wiki. Let me know if anything on here sounds suspect, or if there's anything missing/unclear that you think should be fixed.

Edit: Anyone have a HP estimate on Dakuwaqa?
Working through updating the Tojil page next, and will tackle Muyingwa last.
OK, I'll split the difference and put 1.25 for now. Also, finished updating the Tojil page. https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Tojil Still seems to be uncertainty around how to drop the aura, but considering the relative ease with which he can be defeated with the aura active, I'm not sure we're ever going to get much farther on that.
