wut.
so you're saying you're doing the combined effort of what most people are doing in a full alliance (well, part of it) with just three people?
shenanigans!

In Mdkuser's case, two Dur99/Ghorn99 BRDs following him around are assumed, so yes, he can do damage of 12 normally geared people with his party of 5-6.
I know Isohuld've gotten more plasm, that's why asking others for the camps they use. I can see already that I can reduce the size of my PLD party and send two extra DDs to kill mobs. PLD PLD mage mage is enough to hold NMs, especially with zero hate tanking.
1 pt nobody holding NM? or you killed NM? When NM can link...
Bah, nvm...
My group does between 2700 and 3500 points with no more than 5~8 members, did 4800 with 13 once. No Plds, just me as Smn deaggroing everything with Ramuh.
Fell asleep during a T5 Foret run yesterday. Krabakarpo was a huge bitch, we got him down to 37% before he started raging, so we pulled him back to the #4 Bivouac and very, very slowly tried to kill him. Whenever he cast a spell or used a TP move, you were sure to get killed if you were in range. I think I died around 30 times. The party was trying to change jobs and switch the attacks all the time, but I don't know what was the end result, they probably won. When I went to sleep they were already on 10%
What is everyone doing against Krab so far? I've seen people who killed him, I see some DRGs with Omphidian Trident.
still doesnt explain the logic behind earning 2k-3.5k with 6-12 people as oppose to 5k MINIMUM in 18 man alliance in same amt of timeframe tho........
being awesome is 1 thing, being superficient is another.......
surely your pt will fill within 5 mins of shouting at most, if you worried people suck, just cluster 6 of pug into 1 pt and banish them in 1 chamber lmao
Hmm, that's very interesting.
What we did was a THF used Feint and then MNK's lined up behind him and Hundred Fisted him.
What was your strategy? SAM/THFs skillchaining on his ass until he died?
I might try it again in a few days, just need to find someone to pop him again, because I don't have the KI or the T5 Shard.
No, pretty sure they were /war. Mura ws's wreck it, and it dies really fast. Just need whms spamming curagas to keep everyone alive <50% because it starts spamming pretty hurtful aoe's.
Obviously every sam out there doesn't have mura, and if you're going to rage it, /thf will be better. (or switch to /thf after you rage it)
(edit: also, full buffs, meaning 7-8 songs/party and 2-4 rolls, don't remember if we were swapping cors that run)
So you didn't bring any SCHs? They wanted me to cast embrava at the start of the fight, didn't help much, though. I think SCH might be useful for the Regen V.
Athar's got it right. when my mules can go in, I get the equiv of 30+ alixirs worth of plasmas, for a 5k run. But not all runs are 5k, depends how the NM's pop. Our best was 6K I think.
More peeps the better. Just farming one room won't cut it, mobs repop all over, not just in teh same room. We usualy split up into 3 teams.
Yeah, good point. I keep on forgetting that you can buy airlixirs with plasm : (
Just talked to the leader of yesterday's Krabakarpo party. Apparently after I dc'd they got a SAM to replace my BLU and the fight took a total of 7 hours.
Seven, fucking, hours.
So glad I didn't stay for that long-ass run.
you could have just afk'd there an leeched it lol.
But fuck, 7 hours...
7 hours O_O;;;;;;; holy crap
no one was queueing for it? its the weekends!!!
Using this comment, I decided to test this strategy with a full alliance:
PLDx2 WHMx2 BRD RDM BLU/THFx12
Target was Mastop, the Gnat T4 - Field NM fight. We popped it and used the narrow north corridor as camp.
The Bard, 2 whms, RDM were basically their to support the tanks. BLUs had or needed no support other than themselves, and the occasional cure from sleepga.
The mobs breakga move does not last long, and blu's that were caught by it just let it wear off.
Technique was blu would stay out of AoE range, when SA was ready he would walk up, SATA one of the PLDs with SA + Benthic/Vantity, adding in CA, EF, or AL as timers were available for them.
Damage was good and consistent from the very start as long as SA was triggered, and varied from 900-9000 damage depending on if CA / EF / 1hour was used (most in the 2000-3000 range).
We had to attempt this twice - first time we got it to 20% before it ranged in about a 15 min period, then as soon as it raged our PLD died and it was over.
2nd attempt, we brought 2 PLDs, so if one died we had a backup (and also for cross Trick attack (which .. I would not do again with a pickup group ...) )
2nd time damage was slower because BLUs kept missing because hate was bouncing between the two PLDs.
When it raged, only had it down to 40% the 2nd time.
At that point we abandoned the TA all together, and went back to SA only on a single PLD. Damage rate picked up again.
ochain PLD was able to hold it through rage mode without any problems.
Around 10% it did a few TP moves that took out several BLUs that were too close. However SA Benthic continued to land while weakened.
We were able to kill it - it took about an hour. I think with a slight modification an army of BLUs can take it down *before* it rages, as long as each blu is clear on how to SA + benthic every time and ride their SA timer.
