I'm sure people are already tryin to do that.
If it doesn't happen is because of lack of better options, not because they actually like to throw a dice and get the first random person they can.

If you are having trouble getting KI's then just ask your friendly neighborhood ubershell to invite you when they are farming 10-20NM's while trying to get beads.

All this aside -- we really do need to focus more on figuring out the gimmicks to each NM. A lot of things have been figured out, and most of them are certainly killable, but if there are multiple tricks per mob figuring out all of those will make farming beads infinitely easier, and make clearing them more reasonable for less than optimally geared groups.

Is there any additional information about the Jagil? Working with LS to finish off our groups KI sets with the two from Foret. Think we're planning on doing both the Jagil and Orobon tonight. Orobon sounds fairly straight forward, start off with Absolute Terror, have stuns at the ready for TP moves, and zerg.

Tried Jagil last night after reading earlier in the thread that its an easy kill, similar to Raptor, and it destroyed us. Breakga, silencega, meteor, hard hitting -jas, -ga IVs, and the massive enspell damage that seemed to spike suddenly. Was sticking around 200-300 for awhile, then outta no where it'd increase to 1500ish. I'm not sure if the mages were nuking with the element weak to his current casting early in, I know they started doing it towards the last quarter of the fight or so, before a water ball followed by FC Meteor ruined most of our DD's lives.

Maybe its just the layout of the Foret fracture and most things being sound aggro too, but we were getting links from around the walls that weren't visible to us while fighting in a tunnel. Any better camp inside? We didn't get much of a chance to explore due to someone deciding to train the craklaw to the group that was already on the Jagil, then some RR shenanigans for 5-10 min til we got up and had maybe 15 min to do the Jagil.

Odd I had no problem trading 2 stacks of airlixer +1s and getting to the proper rank from T0 on my pants and ended 90 points shy of T10.

For Divagating Jagil, I went with Arthars and we dealt with it by using a typical melee zerg setup except the melee went /NIN to ameliorate enspell damage. We had two or three stunners in a rotation, only stunning the dangerous spells; his TP moves mostly just tickle.

    [02:13:48]Alatriste misses the Divagating Jagil.
    [02:16:47]Michiwo defeats the Divagating Jagil.

Whenever I trade in my stuff I trade all the NQ's together and have had no issue whatsoever.

WHM BRD COR DD DD DD
WHM BRD COR PLD DD DD
Mage Mage Mage Mage Mage Mage (2-3 of whom are capable of stunning of course)

Works fine for taking out the Jagil (and probably any Delve NM to be honest as long as your frontline is half-competent and your backline is good)
SCH is nice to have around because they can use Tabula Rasa when the fish casts embrava to Kaustra it (and overwrite the fish's embrava)

I can't say this for certain - but I believe Scherzo works on the Enspell damage
I never saw the enspell damage get to unreasonable levels when we had our mysterious third Bard rotate through and add Scherzo as an extra song

As others have said, just bring lots of /SAM melee to the Pugil and ride Seigan hard. Or sub NIN. It should die in 2-3 minutes with a BRD rotation.

Easiest NM out of the lot (trust me, we had trouble with some of the others that people claimed were "easy," but got them all down eventually).

Idk if this is worth noting, we were melee zerging Kurma(Adamantoise) the other day by N/T Finale'ing the Harden Shell off with a rotation, and the BLM's were noticing a reduction in magic damage whenever Harden Shell was off.

It all aint really as hard as people think it is. First: I got 5/6 of my KI outside, before they raged. The last one I got by doing the twytherim inside with 6 ppl, so ya...
Granted i did the moth with a very well organized setup of competent ppl, who know how to rotate and have a very good support line. However after that I did it (the moth) again with a new formed Delve LS, which can be regarded as a PUG (won at third try).
I shouted for Pugil,Orobon,Raptor,Peiste and used the same setup more or less, which is DDx3 WHM BRD COR (x2) and PLD WHM RDM mage mage DRG(if not in DD pt). Just 1-2 of the DDs didnt have a R/E/M/D at 99. BRD and COR rotated at start, after that CORs sticked to hunters/fighters, BRDs still rotated.

The most important aspect in those PUG pts is, that you have to explain EVERYTHING. Not only how to rotate, but also who invites, who drops, that they seek up and send a tell or shout. I even made sure to tell them to evokers roll/ballad the mages, told the mages to f'ing heal the melees, because if 1-2 fall its pretty much over (depends on the melee of course). Haste the melees, give -nas, debuff NMs, DO DMG AS A DD AS THAT IS YOUR JOB, no gimping and playing like a lazy grandma! Switch to DT gear if neccessary, stun etc. etc. etc. Make sure to explain the trick of the NMs to them (blind on peiste etc.) Simply put: Just pretend that youre dealing with a group of total noobs, maybe youre lucky and you get SOME competent ppl in your shout, maybe youre not. Melees gotta write in pt chat if they desperately need something (50%slow aint good, neither is paralyze or plague).

I even f'ed up as a leader and totally forgot Mayhem Lantern on orobon, still won that fight. It is very exhausting to do it this way, but I cleared the fight with them before they raged and only had to do one fight twice (raptor, ppl died since I didnt tell them to use DT gear and didnt think of it myself, i was downed too fast). Should I have to tell them how to play their jobs? no. Do I have to if I want to win? Yes.

Not sure about the Pugil, we kept it silenced with a RDM and never noticed any enspell? Not sure if it goes away when it is silenced.

Can someone else try this and confirm? That would certainly qualify as the "trick" for that one.

I can't really confirm it but we kept it silenced and we weren't sub nin or using seigan and no one died at all.

If anyone has any further experiences with the Gnat I would be very interested to hear what you have to say. We seem to have conflicting accounts as to whether or not enfeebling the gnat and/or having him transfer debuffs to the party are what weaken his DT.

Another possibility is that he receives additional DT/evasion for each buff he absorbs from a player.

Abyssea killed endgame shells, and now people have to be more reliant on shouts, etc to get anything done. It sucks for a game this old..:\
People keep saying this, but 5 posts on any given page on these forums talk about how "my LS did this" or "doing this with my LS". Abyssea did not kill endgame shells per se. The weaker ones with less cohesion or shitty rules/drama probably disbanded, but many adapted, as there was always 18-man content to do, even in the Abyssea heyday. There are a wealth of LS's recruiting every day on AH.com, and many options to the extent someone doesn't want to rely on shouts and sit around watching the /yell spam for hours a night. There are also new ones popping up all the time.

We tried forcing Emetic last night. He did it 20+ times and we couldn't really notice a difference. It could well be that even after his evasion is gimped that he's still very evasive (We had 2x Mad + Hunter's + Sushi and acc still sucked) but we were expecting a more night and day difference like the Peiste.

We've pretty much chalked him up as an NM we'll have to kill outside as he's too time consuming to handle inside with the set-up we take.

It's cheap but 2 PLD's and /THF DD's can drop him in like 10-15 mins outside.

This would be the second trick. Silence to keep the Jagil from using enspells and then have mages cast the element opposite (earlier post I'll link it later) of what it just casted for more damage since it casts spells in order.
