The temp thing could mean something else too. Wouldn't be the first time a temp item wasn't used up. Heck the F.A.I.L badge is temp for some reason. And there was the chat someone dug up that hinted at winning each one got you some kind of reward with an npc that differed with the number you got not the type. Would still be somewhat worthwhile for the groups that could to go after the naakuls if the cost were high enough. I mean 100% chance to drop 1 item while still getting a rather decent amount of plasm farmed isn't bad if you can do it. And locking out NMs isn't horrible now. I suppose we shall see soon enough though. I'd still pay a decent amount even if it was used up though.

kk, got Bokwus Gloves Type C Acc path up to Rank 6!

    Rank 5 = Acc+10 Att+5
    Rank 6 = Acc+10 Att+6 Dex+1

So yar, it's probably the exact same as other Acc path on Heavy DD gear.

Could maybe have some interesting MR/Evis/Rudra's pieces with this path on Brd but probably will end up wiping these and do a different path lol, but oh well, nice to just know!!

I probably misunderstood, I thought they were just selling spots just to collect plasms and offering a different service on the side for the KI's for T4/5 mobs.

No I think that's what they meant. What I meant was the people buying were doing it for things plasm can buy that the ah can't offer. So while yes this is a huge loss if you are doing it for airlixers compared to the ah everything else is ra/ex... so the price of airlixers means little to a person when they are buying something completely different with the plasms.

Is 10 airlixers worth 3 mil? I doubt it. Is a weapon that totally outclasses ones that costed 200-300 mil and alot of time worth 18 mil and a few hours? Probably

I didn't believe it either, but he said he was getting the wears off message repeatedly throughout the fight, and he's a War I've known since 2002 on Ramuh, so little reason to doubt him. Totally felt the same though lol.

The chapuli has no noticeable behavior change when you weapon skill it. I have no idea where that information came from or where it was confirmed, but really, it didn't respond in any noticeable way after being weapon skilled.

Speaking of Chapuli, posted earlier and was told it was easy, but was also told peiste was easy, (and while it may be, it isn't easy leading a pick up group, containing some morons and tards).

Looking for a set up/strat to go along with it. Going to give it a go in the morning. Need for mah earring

They are easy, but not braindead, they need focus from your backline and front line with propper buffs and useing proper food.

I made pickups for Chapuli and Wamoura that were very smooth; you just need to make sure that the WHMs you get are somewhat decent and most (really, all of the DD but that's optimistic) have decent hybrid DT TP sets. When I joined PUGs for the other KIs, there were only like 1 or 2 other DDs with hybrid sets who survived, whereas all the other DD ended up eating dirt at some point.

As for setup, for Chapuli, you could just make 3 parties of BRD COR WHM DDx3. Peiste is similar but 3rd party needs dedicated blinder obviously instead of a DD.

Most mobs you melee have a set up akin to DD3x, BRD, COR, WHM (For 2 PTs) and an extra ??? PT. The ??? PT usually handles anomalies (ex: RDM for keeping the Peiste debuffed). The Chapuli was easily done with a pick up group and they were very very sloppy. You do want to watch out for his TP move that looks like Blade: Shun though. Melees shouldn't face him for that reason. If WHMs can, use battlemod to see the target of TP moves, so they begin Cure IV/V when the TP animation initiates.

For Peiste, I was a bit more picky about members that usual, so we were somewhat better than traditional pick-up PTs. Even with that, this group had to fight through rage mode at roughly 16% due to lack of stunners. I did CS stun at the start to give the DDs as much room as possible. We had two DRGs to keep angon up and one THF for the occasional feint since we needed to shift DDs around. Either DDs were good at keeping RR up or WHMs raised quickly since I rarely needed to raise with RDM. Our primary issues were high AoE DMG and debuffs (Stona/Para spam). If you try a Legion type set up with three SCHs for the ??? PT, you should be able to take the Peiste out quickly.

doesnt even need 3 SCH, 1 good geard legion SCH/BLM that has haste and marches on it can stun 1/3 of all the TP moves, which allready helsp a ton the frontline jobs and especially the backline jobs like whms etc not running out of MP and going full apeshit. obviously calcyfying blabla is the move you want to stun the most since its the one that deals the most AoE dmg. When your stun is down reaply blind or watch for blind wearing off etc.

I know it's late, but really want to respond to this because it's pretty relevant, especially after update.

When was the last time you actually tried to put together a pickup alliance fight full of people who could actually perform their jobs properly and could follow instructions so that you can actually exploit the gimmicks after most competent players you know have no reason to join the pickup as they already have their clears and farming NQ mobs is more reliable than joining shout NM fights that can fail?

Setting up a PUG is easy in theory. In practice, the pool of competent players to choose from is now very small (mainly consisting of returning people, or people who are behind in SOA due to whatever reason) making it difficult.

We've confirmed it three times now after we initially heard about it in this thread. The chapuli gets a massive evasion bonus after he has been consistently weapon skilled for an extended duration. With a standard setup of two DD parties, your accuracy will be floored by around 65% if you start weapon skilling from 100%.

That being said, if your entire group was weapon skilling the chapuli from 100% to 0, and was not suffering any kind of evasion penalty whatsoever, then it sounds like you may have unknowingly stumbled upon a way to be able to weapon skill him without suffering the massive evasion boost he receives.

Do you happen to have a log of the fight?

That's pretty much the exact reason we don't WS him. When we initially tried it before people discovered gimmicks and stuff, his evasion was through the roof and melees just couldn't hit him. Then Taint (I think?) posted about not WS'ing it so we tried like and it went down pretty quickly (like 7-8 mins I think)

Could be that there's more to it than that, we just don't WS it now because we know meleeing it all the way works.

Well, there are two ways to look at that:
    1) Using Nature's Mediation gives him some kind of damage buff.
    2) When he uses Nature's Mediation, he annuls all damage for ~20 seconds. The amount of damage that two parties of buffed melees will do in 20 seconds far surpasses the damage that your WS does.

I'm betting on number 2. He probably has a real trick that we haven't figured out, but it's possible to just DPS zerg him to death without it.

Its EVA didn't sky rocket? I even retested the theory on PLD the other day. Hitting just fine until I started WSing it.

The evasion did noticeably increase but only at the end of the fight (last 20% or so). Perhaps if you pace your weapon skills it works better? We didn't really start weapon skilling until 50-60% and there was no obvious immediate response. Later when we weren't holding back at all is when the evasion noticeably went up. Are we certain the evasion increases in response to weapon skills and not something else? It increased sporadically throughout the fight as well, but I think that was just the zone buff (inside Fracture). I have my logs, so I'll check and see.

Over nearly two dozen fights, whenever we freely weapon skill his evasion has always gone through the roof. Every fight that no one has weapon skilled until ~15%, his evasion has never increased until we all weapon skill to try and push through the last 15%.

I thought someone reported that the chapuli takes higher magic damage the more evasive he becomes -- so it might be something like the gnat, where weapon skilling will increase his physical evasion, but make him more vulnerable to magic. Conversely, nuking him may decrease his physical evasion. It would be like SE to incorporate some gimmick that forces you to bring otherwise undesirable jobs (nukers).

Would it be possible to do like a roundup of the varioius unique attributes/tricks for each of the NMs? This thread has become pretty long and I'm becoming hazy on which are pinpointed and which aren't. Off the top of my head I can remember a handful:

Tutewehiwehi(Peiste) - Use blind to prevent certain attacks. Not exactly a unique trick though considering it's a common Peiste attribute.
Kurma (Adamantoise) - Takes heightened damage shortly before/after TP attacks?
Faded Craklaw - Requires a balance between physical/magic attacks or it gains resistance.
Divigating Jagil - Casts spells relevant to the elemental cycle and day.
Nerrivik (Orobon) - Hidden HP can be revealed by using Scission ws to remove it's lanterns. I don't think anyone has pinpointed any real "trick" to this NM besides zerg it?
Krabakarpo - Again I don't think there's been any real unique aspect found to this NM except to use Mura sams zerging / dealing with a long grind as it takes less damage. Latter option not going to be practical with 20 minutes.
Supernal Chapuli - Using WS over time seems to correlate to it's evasion increasing.
Transcendent Scorpion - Cast debuff(s) on it as the zones message indicates the debuffs have worn off to prevent damage from its AoE.
Mastop (Gnat) - Damage resistance lowers after it uses TP attack to get rid of its debuffs.
Tax'et (Moth) - Damage resistance lowers each time it uses Exuviation from having several debuffs on it. 20 uses of Exuviation negates all its damage resistance.

The others I'm not sure about or they have been manageable enough that just grinding them down is straightforward enough.
