The raptor has a way more likely chance to kill someone than the eft. My group has raptor deaths semi regularly, but eft deaths only really happen with mule WHM healers. Raptor can be fairly lethal with tp+multi attack combo if not tping in DT sets.

Ok just finished another Foret run, Turns out the Uruganite has more quicks than thought. Seems from our 3 fights, is starts with -100% Damage taken, and every enfeeble applies reduces this by some %. We would always engage doing 0 damage from all sources (even meteor) and as the debuffs started to stack up, so would our damage, when debuffs started to wear so did our damage. Still goes in shell every 25%
well depends the point of view then. Raptor is killable in 10mn with mnkx2 brd whmx2, but has a decent chance on killing someone (tripple attacks etc).
The eft take longer sure, but nothing comes close to one shoting a MNK. We killed it in 25 mniutes with teh same set-up though. just auto attack in hybrid MDT geat.
Any new info on the Twitheryn? Still seeing it gain 99% PDT at 49% and SC+MB sometimes dispels it and sometimes doesn't, not sure why, got it down to 24% again and we SC+MB'd it like 6 times and it wouldn't stop taking single digit damage.
Yeah I went to bed after the Peiste last night. Just asked my wife about the Eft last night and she said it was from people being bad rather than the mob being bad.
It may be that on our earlier kills we did figure out its gimmick. We just melee zerged it though. Died in ~4-5 mins I think. Lemme see if I can find it in logger.
EDIT 5:28 / 5:14 / 6:27 / 4:25 / 3:44 were our 5 kill times from the other day.
Spoiler: show
EDIT2: Someone mentioned it casting Ice spells earlier. In my logger it was using Water spells. Water IV/V + Waterja III/IV. Damage ranged from 378 to 966 with an average of ~550.
anyone else notice the rock and shard drops go to shit off regular mobs in zone after the maint. today?
Matamata has a sliding scale like cerberus, however it doesn't appear to be based on actual damage dealt.
We had 2sch whm and brd spam low tier nukes on it for 8mins until even high tier nukes would do 0-1 damage, wait for it to tp again, then run in and zerg it down in ~20 seconds with 3 SAM + 1 WAR. Melee hits would do 10k, 20k crits, all WS were capped at max damage.
We figured it out after watching a jp group try it just before us and take it to 75% in 10 seconds with a horrible looking setup.
It gains a massive -DT effect when it uses Smouldering Swarm. It seems to lose the -DT randomly, and also when using the upheaval TP move. Credit to linkshell members for noticing this, because I never noticed it on my own. It may have to do with taking a % of its health off while swarm is up; I don't really know. All I know at this point is that it dies in 4 minutes.
To add to my previous post about matamata, we did 6 with ~11 chars (almost everyone was 2-3 boxing). Each fight was 5-8mins after the first one to floor magic damage, once thats done its 10-20 seconds to kill it. 1 fight where we spent 5mins reducing magic damage then ran in with melees and did completely normal physical damage, but after another round of spamming magic til it went back to 0-1 it worked.
1/6 on dat bead
idk abt eft, i hate it more over raptor
he dispels, he got shitty poison aura, fucker
raptor on the other hand is brain dead NM
We had a pld hold it without engaging while we did nothing but spam magic damage until even t4-5 spells would consistently do 0-1 damage, then wait for it to tp, test 1 more t5 spell. Then run in, WS a few times and it would be dead. Every WS would do max damage, melee average for the delve gkt was like 30k or something stupid.
As far as I can tell its not magic or physical phases, it just becomes more or less resistant to something depending on the primary source of damage/most commonly used damage between tp moves.
according to the PT im in doing matamata, they mention about 1/2 1/4 1/8 1/16 damage cut
and when u reach 1/16 magic cut, thats when u can start to fuck him up in the next phase and we did just exactly that
i wasnt around when BLM was doing their reduction for it to be melee ready(we were killing raptor during that time) but afaik, they nuked non stop like you said, till 0-1 damage
WS were 1 min between regardless of its TP according to them, i have no idea cos i didnt really count and just zerg the shit out of it till like, idk 2%? when it WS again.... not to mention it became super resistant to melee at that point and 2 BLM reported 20k damage nukes and downed it lol
I'm not sure this is correct.
But once it's Hp down below somewhere around 50%. Lots of SATA WS or Bentic Typhoon is dealing 10-30k+ dmg. Once that happened, it's down pretty fast.
The thing like previous posts said, need SC MB etc to drop it down to 50% or lower. (To break its shield I guess)
The problem this leads to is that alliances take hours to put together and people tend to leave.
Edit: Seems Orobon builds resistance to stun. Tried outside with a pickup, first 60% went super easy, sch/blm stunning pretty much everything. Soon as it started resisting stun the killspeed went right down because of deaths/HPing/losing buffs. Depopped @15% HP. Previous pop, without sch stunning depopped at 30%~HP.
Advice?
Which of the Foret NM's would be easiest to get access to the Tier 1-3 stuff?
NM list:
Faded Craklaw
Aberrant Uragnite
Divagating Jagil
Want to setup a pickup group.
Jagil or Uragnite easiest IMO. Uragnite just gota kept debuffed as much as poss to remove -dt. And jagil is a simple melee zerg. I THINK that casting the element its weak to lowers its enspell effects, keep it silenced also.
