Do summoner Blood Pacts trigger the supernal chapuli's evasion?
Tried 3 boxing chapuli again, it took exactly 10 weaponskills (which I tried to do during spells but that becomes impossible to be 100% at lower hp) to trigger a large evasion boost. It wasn't floored evasion though but definitely way off cap. Can't give an accurate estimate of how bad my acc was after the 10th WS because I didn't survive all that long after it happened, my end acc was 74% but was capped for most of the fight.
It also seems to have 2 modes, one where it has very high attack and favors the terror move, another mode where it spams its other moves, is a lot less dangerous for normal attacks (except meditation) and also takes no damage during tp moves during this phase.
KURMA
Ok, so spent some time on Kurma today and have way more questions than answers but:
When it casts Harden Shell, it's magic damage taken increases. Every cast of harden shell multiplies the magic damage taken.
When it casts Tortise Song: the magic damage taken increase is reset completely
It does not harden shell or Tortise song on specific timers. Harden Shell sometimes was
cast multiple times in a row (3+)
Unsure of the exact increase of magic damage taken from Harden Shell, max number we saw with no Tortise Song was in the range of 10, and the boss was taking 10kish dmg from t5 / aja Thunder spells w no bursts (it was running around after mages at this point)
Seems likely the gimick of the fight would revolve around either forcing the mob to cast Harden Shell, or preventing the mob from casting Tortise Song.
*Didn't get any attempts reliably keeping the mob silenced to see if that prevented Tortise Song.
*Didn't get any attempts with literally 0 buffs (no protect, refresh, songs, rolls, anything) to see if that prevented the boss from casting Tortise Song (along the theory of the moth, where debuffs are bad after a certain point, here maybe buffs are bad and something else triggers Shell to stack it ** possibility of perhaps WS's with no chain force it to raise it's defense as we did almost all our WS's as chains)
*Jp wiki might be suggesting that any magic damage taken moves it on a scale to take more damage, as it mentions something about enspells being resisted heavily but runefencer runes not, but we seemed to be seeing increases always after Harden Shell was cast, so possibly misinformation
-Tortise Song seems too fast to reliably stun.
-Pavor Nocturnis (Diablo Dispel) 100% dispel rate on Harden Shell buff for summoner with max summoning skill using Delve staff for +m.Acc, but probably dispellable regardless
-Dispelling Harden Shell didn't seem to force it to recast, as sometimes it would just spam 3 in a row. That said, the attempt where I didn't dispel at all, he seemed to recast Shell much slower. Hard to say if there is any connection.
If it can be silenced then that would potentially block tortoise song (similar to dahak type mobs) allowing you to build up the damage taken by magic, making manaburning it down the optimal kill method rather than being reserved for gimper groups not capable of melee burning it.
The RDM could immunobreak silence it, but unsure what his gear / skill was like.
Also pretty sure we saw no Harden Shell's cast while it was silenced, but we didn't see many that fight at all, so possibly unrelated and just other mechanics stacking on each other. The attempt he was silencing was the attempt I wasn't dispelling Harden Shell.
Well I tried testing it 3box but it didn't work, I couldn't land silence at all as sch/rdm (does immunobreak only last like 2-3 seconds?) and in the 10mins I tanked it for it did even attempt to use song once anyway (is it below a certain %?).
Would probably take a group making a real effort on killing it to test this.
If it does work however, it opens up low man kill options with multiple Mura SAMs (depending on how high you can get magic damage up to), you'll just need enough ES silences to keep it on 100%
Did like 20 turtles tonight, THF on most of them, and not a single bead. What do they want us to invite the whole server, 1 person at a time, for clears while we get 1 bead? Pathetic.
just random thought, not even playing atm, but has anyone eaten shard/rock/bead inside fracture to see if it has any effect on 3min buffs to mobs?
matamata. bead is worthless from it since he's pretty much the fastest, if not second fastest, morimar NM, but it's safe to assume that bead drop rate isn't wildly varied among these things and is simply ridiculous across the board.
Is matamata doable under 5min with the new info about it ?
Probably with enough people, but waiting the extra 2 minutes is probably safer if you've got less people/less well geared people on hand.
I see we'll give it a try today if we can do it under 5min with our inside setup, we'll bead raptor prolly instead of matamata since " buff msg" raptor was able to TA one shot dd.
re: silence on Kurma
I managed to land it a few times. Had to hit Immunobreak a few times before it would stick and my RDM is fairly well geared. Would recommend ES Silence order if you want to try to block Tortoise Song.
Did about SEVEN of these today with JP shouts, no fucking clue what the system was, though your idea sounds about right.
At one point I landed a 15887 Thundaja, but almost every other cast was 1-2k tops, magic bursted. and mine were the higher end of the 10 blms.
I do know that the BG current posting is incorrect, (any) tp move certainly doesn't cause it to take more damage. Many many MANY times it would get a full resist during/after headbutt/breath/song/stomp.
