I'm thinking it may have something to do with the TP move "modes" that it shifts back and forth between (Orthopterror only / everything but Orthopterror), using Nature's Meditation as the marker to show the shift. I can't really theorize anything beyond that, though.

I'm also wondering if hitting it too soon might mess things up. Think ADL hitting for 0 after split. Your going really fast in one, but not so fast on the second. Maybe someone hit before you on the 2nd.

Hm, I'm really not sure. Cumulative total of my SCH's dmg over a single matamata never exceeded 2,000~3,000; most nukes did 16~32 only due to an immense resist rate with most after the 3rd or 4th TP move/phase doing less than 10.

Yeah I was in the runs with Kacez and Eanae and I'm pretty good at counting to 7.

I was RDM for the last 2 posted. Used T1 spells until 0 then T2 til 0 then T3 until 0.

After how many TP moves did your T3s start hitting for 0?

I assume that you switched to IV for 6 -> 7; not sure if that would have been enough, however, as my SCH's IVs were 0 along with the IIIs, so I had to jump directly to Vs. It sounds like you were using at least some nuking gear, however.

You're also not showing what happened in-between the WS's, so also can't see if anyone messed up, or whether spells did 0 damage on subsequent phases and therefor didn't deal enough damage to count towards magic phase. From the first one it seem like it'd have reset on 7, and the second like it'd have reset on 6. Unless the first one is reduced physical damage. And it seems strange that you'd get such varied result unless something got messed up.

When I fought yesterday with Proth, if we didn't some how kill it in the 55s that we'd start zerging, on the 6th TP move after the zerg it would take full damage again if you. Our PLD would count out in PT and to me on Skype the TP moves, always on the 7th TP move we could go in and do full damage (melee for 30-99k, ws for 99k)

My theory on the NM is you have to deal at least 1 point of magic damage to increase the MDT or 1 point of physical to increase the PDT.

What do you have tanking it while the nuking is happening? Also, those WS's are weak, I think you could have gone another TP move and hit harder. Would stunning the next TP move give you another minute or does the mode still change?

I plan on going for Morimar Boss run this coming weekend. I was wondering if it is possible to lock out both T4-T5 nms with beads or does it have to be 2 of T1-3 and 1 of T4-5?

The weaponskills are doing 99,999 unless they're misses and his melee hits are doing over 30k. It doesn't get any more +%PDT than that

We have a lot of mules so we had an excessive setup:

PLD DRK SAM WHM BRD SCH THF, a GEO joined later and did refresh aura or something. The PLD's THF mule hit it for TH only and I used my SCH mule to nuke its PDT up.

I mean I even got one shotted on a couple of them (he seems to go roid rage sometimes for reasons that I can't figure out and does 1k-2k~ melee attacks) and we were still capable of killing it easily, well under the time limit. Just nuked it down to the 6th phase and it went down quickly, he had no problems holding it on DRK while the PDT shifted back to +infinity since there was little chance of the PLD pulling hate again after that first zerg.

Were those damage spikes after Tail Thwack? It dumps a pretty strong def down debuff on the entire frontline.

Debuffs were erased pretty quickly after they happened. Usually it was at the start of the fight anyway, like right after engaging. He wouldn't have time to get off a second TP move.

    Reprisal maybe?
