Is it just me, or does it seem that it takes GREATER effort and runs an inherent risk of something going wrong doing the magic > physical route instead of having 2-3 monks punch shit down till they deal 0 damage and then just using formless?

They're both equally brainless if you do it properly. It's pretty hard to fuck it up
This is clearly why they nerfed twilight scythe though. Now you can switch between regular dmg and magic to beat this mob without changing weapons!
This taru drk likes to drainII and get much hps when you do melee-> magic mode hehe.
Maybe drain2, then twilight scythe it with souleater on hehaha?
fights like these are the real reason they nerfed twilight scythe anyhow.
Just did Faded Crakclaw inside the fracture, when we tried the direction way, all our DDs were hitting for 0 from every direction. So we tried skillchain magic burst and magic burst always did full damage regardless of direction. Everytime after a magic burst DDs were able to damage it for like 3 seconds and then their damage went back to 0. So we are thinking it may be like matamata, but you would need someone doing physical damage to do skillchains so we don't think its like that. I personally think the more total damage you do with the magic burst prior to the DDs going in, the more damage they will be able to do thereafter. So say if 6 blms magic bursted for 4k-5k each DDs may be able to do a lot of damage. This is just speculation at this point but it for sure has something to do with magic bursts.
Also the post on the scorpion is incorrect from Ceizack battle grounds I think. Keeping debuffs on it will make its 50% or lower AoE damage stun tp do 0. Everything else still does damage. Although that damaged may be weakened I'm not sure, but it for sure affects its below 50% move.
How hard is it to stick Blind on the peiste?
Don't need a RDM do you?
I tried enspell on the turtle earlier when formless was doign 25-55k dmg, enblizzard was only adding 150 dmg per hit, so probably not worth using enspells at all if trio boxing it.
While on a similar subject, I was able to land stuns on both the Orobon and Peiste many times on cor/blm, so one way to add another stunner.
Just (re)confirming, Bead can drop either with a msg (100% drop, top of pool) or with TH so bring thfs!
Finally went like 1/50 on the matamata bead. They should totally increase drop rate on these things.
I think our drop rates last night were 1/5 for Kurma, 1/5 for Peiste and 1/1 Wamoura but the Wamoura popped with message and the Bead loaded into the top slot. We had TH as well. 20-25% seems about right although sometimes obviously you can get unlucky and go way worse.
I think we'll end up buying just as many beads as we farm depending on if the market is there.
25-30 matamata kills has resulted in 5 beads so far, used a couple on myself but should probably sell any future surplus since for a group with a serious chance at taking down nakuuls would probably still bead out matamata.
Kurma is the biggest cock block by far since currently every strat involves 10-15min kills with a full alliance. Hopefully someone gets around to keeping it silenced to see if it blocks Tortoise Song and harden shell stacking actually boosts magic damage taken.
