    Below 50%, Shimmering Tarichuk gains something resembling a poison aura (it seems like he places poison on everyone around him every time he casts/WSs or gains a short-duration poison aura shortly after he casts/WSs, not quite sure), a fuckton of fast cast, and huge regain. He is really easy if you go in with a melee-zerg mentality (as mentioned earlier throughout this thread). I'd rather eat spells occasionally than get Geist'd to zero buffs. The other regular eft TP moves are a non-issue and Tarichutoxin, the combined knockback-with-poison TP move, is also a non-issue. We did 9 fights in a row tonight with no deaths and average fight time ranged from 2-4 minutes with Embrava (using CORs to reset). Our setup was 2 DD parties, 3 BRDs, 2 CORs, a few SCHs and WHMs, and a THF for TH.

    No wait I think you misunderstood me.
    I read people (actually only one guy) reporting that once they had a "You gain 100 mweya plasm" instead than the usual 50 after killing an NQ monster.
    All of the people in alliance got the same message.
    They tried all the rest of the run to reproduce that but couldn't manage to trigger it again.

    Kyreth is correct sechs. Its your alliancing killing two fodder mobs at the same time

    So when that happens the in-game log "merges" those two distinct kills together and display the plasm gains with a single line?

    Also, things like eft and raptor could just be abnormally weak to spells like Dia, obscure shit like that was directly cited in one of Matsui's (or whoever the fuck the other guy is) posts.

    I doubt Matamata will be changed because that's his gimmick. Even if he is, it's still zergable anyway. Just takes an extra couple of minutes.

    Idk, a few people I'm sure (myself included) have killed it over 40 times alone in the past 2 days which may have caught their attention. Not really sure how they could change it without making it even worse for most groups who try it. I've seen at least 15 different groups try it in the past 2 days and only 2 of them managed to beat it (one group wiped 7x in a row with 5 mnks).

    All they'd have to do is:

    A) Randomize the number of phases that it takes to raise its DT to maximum
    B) Straight increase the amount of phases that it takes to raise its DT to maximum
    C) Impose a lower cap on the amount of +DT that it can accumulate


    Any of these has the potential to make it inefficient if the change is drastic enough.

    Not a very good baseline, most PUGs can't kill much of anything. I mean they still struggle to kill the moth and it's one of the simplest fights out of the whole lot that requires next to no coordination.

    Do keep in mind that the matamata is a T1 NM, I'd imagine the intent was for it to be killable by a PUG.

    PUGs can't kill a majority of the I~IIIs. But I digress, SE has set a precedent for these sorts of heavy handed changes. While I don't expect it to happen wholeheartedly I totally would not be surprised.

    Just a quick question on the peiste, this thing stunnable? I've not been on a mage job to this thing so I can't say (usually cor). Because if it is, that would be an obvious solution to the several pug failures I've been on to this damn mob, outside blinding it (which btw, rdms not being able to tell when blind wears lol...).

    when I did it on my rdm/blm, it seemed to build up stun resistance after 10 or so casts. its possible a job with higher dark skill will have greater success.

    It's stunnable but it's certainly not easy. I certainly wouldn't trust a PUG stunner to do it.

    The way we've been handling this mob is 2 DD parties with 2x BRD, 2X COR Rotating buffs. SV if necessary, we haven't but it would be advantageous to PUGs I'd imagine. Make sure the melees full-time hybrid sets and get them all to stand together wedged into a corner so knockback/bind isn't an issue. Stuns might still be advantageous purely to reduce damage taken rather than trying to stun specific moves. Blind has to be kept on and I'd advise DD's to still eat Sushi. Be ready for Stonas as the end of the countdown (1 minute after Calcifying mist is when Petrify fully sets in)

    Usually takes us ~3 mins to kill without SV but we do have 99 Harps.
