I had trouble keeping it up on the cricket, wamoura, peiste and Orobon. My enfeebling gear isn't the greatest and I don't have magic accuracy magians, but I cast in this set (other ring/ear are just INT/MND based on which enfeeble I'm casting), and sticking Slow/Paralyze/Gravity (II) on any of the tier IV/Vs isn't a gimme. I've all but satchel'd my potency sets because nothing lands reliably enough for me to even try casting in it.
If anyone wants to suggest improvements, please do. I've definitely not kept on top of my RDM, and the frequent resists are rather frustrating.
Responding to Dotsudoku on the last page, Pieste can be blinded by sch with little to no resists witha good enfeebling set, klimaform and voidstorm. I have 5/5 focalization merits as well, so if I'm ever struggling I just pop focalization.
Made two attempts at killing all 5 NM's in one Morimar run tonight. Ended with the adamantoise at 8% one run, and 11% the second run as the 5th NM. At this point, I just can't help but think that any setup that is ideal for the other 4 NM's is just too crippled to kill the adamantoise in any reasonable amount of time, unless we're missing something regarding being able to do more melee damage to it (aside from dispeling harden shell).
We use the same setup for every NM in morimar, in order to maximize dd dmg on turtle (and eft) we focus more on debuff than buff for those 2: Impact, dia II(light shotX2), Geo eva and def debuff, feint, angon, box step.
You don't even need voidstorm/klimaform, let alone focalization on Sch to blind the pieste. It really isn't resistant.
Random Q: Why are people spamming matamata for the bead? If it's such an easy NM wouldn't it be on of the two mobs you'd actually want to be present if you were going for the mega boss?
And a decent amount of plasm to boot
Tbh I was just stunning everything by animation, instead of saving for specific TP move. I expect if you were just looking to stun one move it'd be ok (long as you're fast enough)
We didn't bring geo till a few days ago it pretty much made us win 3-4min on turtle/2min on eft/ 3-4min on peiste, we should be able to try 5 inside this week end( we lack people during the week) our max at the moment is also 4 and timing out on turtle.(We took forever to do turtle at that point, I'm 100% sure 5 NM is doable inside)
Our 5 kill NM inside would be: samX2 drk brd cor whm / 3 DD (sam drk or mnk) brd cor whm / Geo/blm sch/blm smn thf/dnc pld brd(or whm).
Pld bring NM close to us and kill NQ mob while we kill the NM to lower run time, sch is able to land blind and stun peiste, smn dispel harden shell, we use Impact for eft / Kurma.
As to why people farm matamata outside, Eft and Raptor take less than 7min to kill inside(wich I believe is the same it take outside, we got bead 3/3 last week so we didn't try the cool way yet)
Just to add to what Ccl said (and I've said this earlier in the thread). Eft + Matamata + Raptor + Peiste are killable in 20-25 mins. So if you don't fancy melee burning Kurma, you can always kill those 4 and then farm NQ's for the remainder of the run. Plasm wise you're still going to be pushing 10k or higher. You do need a good set-up for it and good DD's though. We took in a gimped set-up last night and there was a huge, huge difference.
I think 2 minutes for Eft is lowballing somewhat. I mean technically we're in the 2 minute bracket but I think our fastest kill was like 2 mins 48. However, this didn't involve BRD rotation or SV so it's probably doable in 2 mins flat.
Realistically 3-5 mins each for Eft / Peiste / Raptor allows for slight sloppiness and variation in killspeed. Matamata is 7 mins 30 worst case. So leaves you 20 mins ish to kill Kurma after you allow for running around. Basically if can kill it outside, you can kill it inside.
