Someone aggroed the Peiste in a run tonight so the 3 PLDs were super tanking 4 NMs and I was able to sleep each of them pretty easily as RDM, I bet a BLU could do a better job with AoE sleeps or something. The Peiste resists noticeably more but probably because it's stronger than the Eft/Raptor/Matama. Shit can be bound/silenced/petrified/gravitied. Pretty cool if you ask me, makes RDM somewhat useful again. It's amazing how useful a job can be when 90% of it's A+ skill spells aren't being completely resisted due to 100% immunity. Seriously why did they make RDM A+ in enfeebling when almost all of its enfeebles couldn't be used against NMs? Like what if they simply made 95% of all NMs immune to weapon skill damage. Basically how it feels as RDM when almosgt every NM pre-Legion could not be slept/bound/gravitied/petrified/silenced
Sadly most people don't have the gear to be a good rdm.
legions are part of a "VW generation" set of events and hance, the "RDM is dead" era :X
the team who made SoA prolly some new people behind the scenes XD
For Morimar Plasm farming do you just have a PLD hold all the NMs and DDs kill shit ala abyssea parties? Is there a more efficient / organized strategy? Are BRDs or CORs needed for buffs?
Everything I find is about killing NMs. That or about Ceizak, which is a different zone.
All three Delve Fracture zones are exactly the same. The only difference is what NMs appear, the mob type and their dreadful message buffs. You can use the same setup for all zones.
Wut
Brd is always going to be preferable assuming you have at least 1 real DD, Cor is going to be preferable with at most 3 real DD but can be better than a 3rd DD if you are stuck with only 2 against higher level stuff.
Every time people post experiences of fights that involved more than 2 chars and no brds my mind is fucking blown every time (except manaburn strats which are just retarded anyway).
Took alliance of mainly BLU/THF to Supernal Chapuli T2 Ceizak Battlegrounds. I believe setup was pldx2 blu/thfx8 whmx2 drkx2 mnk thf smnx2.
No one weaponskilled on the NM, melee DDs just autoattack, then run back when it casts aeroga V.
SMN spammed HS.
Only thing of note to mention is that this NM must start out with extremely low evasion for a NM of its level.
BLU Heavy Strike was landing consistently on it for ~1k each time.
All physical BLU spells were *extremely* effective on it.
won with about 30 seconds left, so setup was not ideal, but worked.
If I were to do it again would bring more BLUs and only 1 pld for faster kill.
But how much were the sneak attack spells doing?
I've been in a pug where it depopped at 2%, then won the 2nd time with less than 5 mins remaining.
You severely overestimate PUG dds
See it's funny. A lot of you talk of low manning these NMs like it ain't no thang. A bulk of us, though, are suffering through pubbie hell and going 0/x on the NMs. Fortunately I was able to get T2 Ceizak and Morimar done without much issue, but T5s are a whole different ball park.
I just did a Tax'et with the following setup:
DDx3 WHM BRD COR
DDx3 WHM BRD COR
PLD BLM BLM COR WHM SMN
All DDs had R/E/M/D weps, and at least one BLM was /SCH using Helixes.
We got #20 Exuvation at 15 minute mark, and people started dying all over the place because it took so long to get it to Exuv that we were eating Agas/Ajas/TP moves because nobody was stunning anything because they were too worried about proccing Exuviation.
We ran out of time at 98% HP.
I punch the cricket for 400-500 damage per fist with Rigors and sushi and my MNK is far from perfect; how are we defining "extremely effective"?
I'm not overestimating the calibre of the dds. My dismay is aimed at the retarded setups people are still using.
For a start I don't even understand how its possible to do only 2% with even a single completely unbuffed DD in 5mins after DT is off.
Secondly, yes the setup looks good but I bet the person leading it didn't spoon feed all the brain dead cretins that populated the alliance.
Thirdly, 15mins is way too long to get 20x exuviation, even with the anomalous fights people have reported where it didn't spam it. Get more people spamming more debuffs. Then impress upon them that they need to stop inflicting any after the 20th.
