Oh, man. Do people still use BG cards? Someone should make a BG card out of this.
Going to see it in IMAX 2D this week. So fortunate to have one of those few "real IMAX" theaters near me.
The Regal branded digital "Imax" do 2D. Afaik all the legit auditorium Imax are 3D though.
I'm only going off the various star wars showings I've noticed at corporate cinemas, and only a theory. I'm aware 2D films are still shown in the format for other movies.
This is likely a dumb question, but do all places charge a premium for the 3D version of a movie? The main reasons I'll opt for 2D is because it usually doesn't add anything, and that they also charge $1.50 for the glasses (per person).
The theatre in our town I prefer isn't even the newer one. I like it because it has a better selection of snacks if I feel like getting something. They just started serving a few kinds of burgers and Starbucks Tea/Coffee recently which is pretty cool.
Saw it for first time last night with my fiance, did IMAX 3D in NYC before going to see the tree at rockefeller before they took it down for the season.
Made her watch 4 5 and 6 first, knew a major spoiler because of some asshat here so I figured seeing 7 before 123 would be best for her before she forgot everything that happened.
She really enjoyed it, I enjoyed it, started up episode 1 today. Looking forward to more. Disliked a few things such as casting choices, but I can't complain.
Just saw an IMAX 3D showing, it was worth it just for the sound quality alone.
I did pretty much the same with my wife. She watched 4-6 and didn't start to lose interest until part way into RotJ. She actually really enjoyed them, and she really enjoyed TFA as well. I started the prequels, and she couldn't really stand them. We made it through episode 1 and now she isn't really interested in seeing the others.
Like 5 minutes after meeting anakin she decided to nap lol. We'll finish 1-3 at some point since she actually was the one who said to turn on 1, but I'm still happy with going straight to 7 after 456.
You guys all suck. I took my girl to the 3D re-release of phantom menace years ago. Then we watched the rest of the movies over the weekend.
Scrubs. Keep your back hand strong.
