All my feels. Tantalised by the first few snippets but when the fanfare started and the Falcon was dog-fighting TIE Fighters I went full nerdboner.

they gotta start using better combs
Just remember, people were excited about 1-3 at one time too. Just saying.
30 years later and Lando still hasn't paid to replace the satellite dish on the Falcon. What a jerk.
First I was like "Ok not gonna get pumped cause Episode 1 still hurts"
Then I was like "Ok that's pretty cool looking"
"Wow, ok this looks pretty badass, I'll get a little psyched"
"FUCK YEAH TAKE ALL MY MONEY OH MY GOD NOSTALGIA BONER PLEASE LET ME LIVE ANOTHER YEAR"

Honestly, watching it, the first half seems like a fake spoof trailer.
Maybe it was the black storm trooper that made me feel that way.
Tbh, this ^
Really felt like a spoof trailer.
It looks cool and all, but it just doesnt feel like "Star Wars".
I mean, it cant be worse than the prequel, and it does look pretty good, but I hope it feels more rooted in the final film.
Also, only 60 seconds.
I thought the storm troopers were all clones. Did this change over the years?
Well with that lightsaber design it'll at least make it physically impossible (for that character) to do that incredibly unnecessarily flashy choreography from 1-3, and maybe get back to the epicness that was the lightsaber duels from 4-6.
My guess is he is wearing as a facade, but yes, over the years it went from a largely clone army, to a mix of clones, enlisted, and non clone tube babies.
Dont be silly, the force will protect him and his wrist will flick at all the right times to avoid such casualities when he's going all flashy.
The canon explanation is that the clones at the facility on Kamino rebelled, the Empire came in and wiped it out. The remaining clones stayed in service but no new clones were made after that.
So what was the hoopla over that really short storm trooper from A New Hope?
Empire enlisted has higher standards and doesnt hire anyone under a certain height?
