EDIT: @ Kyte, do you not remember the several shots we got of the bridges of Imperial Star Destroyers? None of the officers were colored. It's not that big of a logical leap to racism from Xenophobia of which the Empire had in spades.

I understand, not offended lol. Just haven't seen anyone referred to as "colored" rather than black since my great-grandpa died. He was a teeny bit racist.

Theres never been an "unstable" usable lightsaber from what I remember.
So either the plasma arcing of the lightsaber is intentional due to a new found crystal, or it's highly unstable and the vent ports are helping.

Honestly not really- but I also know that there were a bajillion storm/sand/scout troopers and pilots and there really aren't that many black people in this galaxy. Statistically, if there were any black people among the- what? 20 not-faceless imperials they showed? -they would be over represented. Second of all, if they were racist against black humans, they still wouldn't necessarily be opposed to having black people as their low-level throwaway stormtroopers. They would just be less willing to promote them to the officer level, who are again more or less the only ones we saw without a helmet.

Really though, I can only think of 3 black people total from all 6 movies. They cannot be very common, so there's really no way of judging whether or not the Empire was only racist against aliens or if they didn't like non-white humans as well.

They did base an entire clone army off a guy who isn't entirely white, so there's that.

i fucking burst out laughing when he popped his head up. for a split second i thought maybe i was watching a parody or something.

i'm glad he's there, though. Especially if that's not just some borrowed armor; if he's actually a stormtrooper, this'll be a LOT more interesting. Some of the EU's best material had to do with the troopers under the helmets.

i'm not so sure about the design of the speeder, droid, and lightsaber, though. I don't see what purpose the crossguard would have, and all three just seem... odd for the sake of oddness. But I'm willing to wait and see if it all plays out.
