We can agree to disagree lol. I don't watch Syfy but I would assume the Star Wars VII teaser has a higher production value than that of Sharknado 2

It isn't about value it's about quality. It just feels like they spent more time and resources on a checklist:

1) No George Lucas
2) No Jar Jar
3) Lightsabers
4) Original Cast
5) Star Wars Theme

There's more to a teaser than what they did. It just didn't grab me.

I prefer a trailer that gives just a tease at the movie over one that tells me the entire plot and all the best scenes.

The lack of context is the issue. It was just a really odd way to start the teaser.

I'd say it was the only intresting part of the trailer (cept maybe the bit with the red lightsaber sith person in the woods), the rest looked good visually but didn't really tease anything to do with the story and make you wonder 'oh I wonder what just happened?'
