No way they're going to only take 20% on opening week. Honestly, knowing what I know about Christmas week for theaters, I wouldn't complain with how much money this movie will make in December. Then again, having only two screens seems real rough, idk how you guys manage.

Wot. Can you use the names rather than "they." I don't know what side you are referring to. Theaters sell food and drinks at ridiculous prices because studios take a LOT of movie ticket sales. So 80% going to movie studio during opening weekend seems normal to me.

Er, what I mean is no way the studio is only taking 20% back during opening week. You said you thought those percentages are what the theater gets to keep, I'm explaining why it's probably the other way around.

No I meant the theater only gets 40% during christmas weekend which means the percents written are what studio gets.

Canonically, Boba Fett ends up losing to Luke when he wasn't even fully Force-trained.

(They duke it out in Obi-Wan's old place on Tatooine.)

Incorrect. The Marvel Comics and newest line of Del Rey books are canon. THe Luke/Boba fight he's talking about takes place in the current ongoing Star Wars title

If anything has been demonstrated, it's that Star Wars canon that comes from not-movies is canon right up until it's not canon anymore. I'll take it with salt until 8 & 9 have been cut, and then it'll be canon until they decide to make 10/11/12 in the 2030's.

They take 80/60/50/40 of ticket sales, but we're a small family owned theatre in a small town so we actually have our tickets at the price floor $6 for children/senior citizens $7 for adults. Our concession prices arent ridiculous, they can't be in the small town. You can get a large popcorn, two large drinks, and a candy for $8.

Oh I imagine we'll make a killing. I'm trying to devise a way to do advanced ticket sales. Only problem is the fact that we don't have those fancy ticket machines that print out the name and showing of the movie. We just got the old school Admit One tickets. Best thing I could come up with would be to come purchase a ticket and put it in a spreadsheet according to the showtime they purchased for and just mark them off at the door.
