Nothing spectacular in this episode demanded animation other than Nui fighting Ryuuko briefly. The next episode is going to be a barn burner.

I'm not sure if I like the way this is progressing. Had enough teenage angst from Ryuuko at the end of Ep19/beginning of this episode, and then now it's continuing into the land of clichés. I guess we'll see how Ep21 pans out.

Used to be the case, but nowadays seasons are frequently cut down by an episode or two. Even half seasons are leaning to 12 instead of 13.
Hell, Psycho-Pass was only 22 :C
