Shitty internet overnight dld here we go
Demo out tomorrow.
Whoop whoop.
Spoiler: show
Played it a bit last night, car sounds are still shitty. Hope the real deal sounds better.
I played and streamed a bunch last night.
the ai/sounds/etc are all placeholders, it isn't really a demo as much as the gt academy running on the minimum amount of the gt6 engine it can.
The physics are fucking awesome though, big upgrade from gt5.
It's really really good, the menu stuff and loading times have been cleaned up a ton.
The car handling is SO much better.
Really I'd like to see how the singleplayer is done and how the online stuff is changing to know whether I'm going to spend a lot of time on it or not though.
Downloading, not as excited as I was for GT5 but eh need my racing fix on ps3 or 4
I want to hear some sound before I commit to anything. Sick of V8's sounding like lawnmowers or ricers, and sick of the lack of models for American cars while we get every skyline that ever came out. Ever.
Can I get a Pontiac Firehawk? Can I get a ZL1 Camaro? Something other than a base model?
Here's the current #1 lap. It's so sick.
I can hit 2:24s at the mo, but feel like I can get 2:22s or 2:21s with a really good lap. This guy is so ridiculous.
Haha wtf. I wonder whats the fastest real life lap time then.
There are similar times for real cars around that bhp/weight range.
That guy got through to the live rounds last academy though, so he's legit very very good.
Wow, you can really notice the upgrade to the suspension physics in that vid. Figured it'd be just a subtle change from GT5....
Nobody else playing?
My times atm are
S1: 34:591
S2: 42:393
S3: 25:902
S4:35:021
Whole Lap: 2:22.862
I know I can get 2:20 or lower if I hit my sectors, it's just getting all 4 together :/
Messed around with it on the first day it came out.
S1: 34.493
S2: 41.829
S3: 25.422
S4: 34.537
Lap: 2:19.715
Planning to put more time into it in the coming weeks. I beat all but one on my SEN Flist last year. Added a few quick people over the past year. Have one so far that's ahead with a :19.353. The one that beat me last year hasn't posted his lap, but I fully expect to see him in the 18s. I felt decent about my lap, since I've never turn a lap at Silverstone before. Aiming to be in the low 18s as I get more familiar with this track.
Im so shit my best test1 time was 37.5 or something.
