-Bastok: South Gustaberg > Club.
-Windurst: East Sarutabaruta > Club. Talked about: How he ran for his life from Goblins, and I "cheery-weered" them on!

I snagged the Nomad Moogle Rod from the SanD guy yesterday, and it was still the "you're a jerk" story. Only difference from previous ash clubs was instead of showing the ash+1 club/nomad rod before giving me crap, he showed me ash+1 club/yew+1 wand before forking over the rod. Ronfaure was the zone I selected, if anyone's keeping score on that.

So are we safe to assume if he doesn't show it, we are to get the Nomad Rod? And also, is there a way to keep trying? Like disconnecting while he's showing you the wands? Or does that still count?

Edit: Tried, //terminate works and allows you to start again, but for some reason, keeps giving me the same stuff when picking Toraimarai canal, so might be day-dependant?

Looking through the DAT findings thread, there's some additional dialogue that suggests some NPCs are surprised to see Moogles running around with sunglasses. I'm going to try talking to an Aspiring Adventurer while looking like a Moogle to see if that opens up any other chat options.

0/4 on Rolanberry Delightaru, 0/2 on Nomad Moogle Rod now. I can't decide whether or not to pick the same options each time or rotate.

Yeah I just tried d/cing if he showed ash club+ then nomad rod, and all 3 cities gave me the same sequence on all 3 options each time

So it probably doesn't work unless it's just more rare than I had patience to try.

5 ash clubs here. Two answers left on Bastok/WinD NPC to see if it's a specific answer based on some pre-determined value (such as your name), or just complete luck.

I'm leaning towards it not working, because I did it 6+ times but idk! It's kind of annoying to be honest. ._.

Just wanted to post to let you guys know the secret the Japanese have figured out (I live in Japan, so yeah...)

someone had the right idea previously, but you need a friend to help. Fill your inventory to max and set something in your bazaar kinda expensive. Then go repeatedly until you get the like 2% chance of the special item *not* showing in the two shown examples. Then STOP! and have a friend buy from your bazaar to free up space and let you accept the rare item. It will take forever and it is a lot of work- but at least you get the item.

So, it's entirely random then? There's no pattern to the zone and item selection?

I was on in the middle of the night last night when they broadcast the emergency maintenance message. I was hoping they were fixing a problem with the Oblivious Adventurers or the Aspiring Adventurers that was preventing them from handing out the correct rewards. I should have known better.

Yeah it's completely random. Although it appears that the fix they implemented may have been to address this loophole the Japanese had found.

How does the moogle reward thing work?
Im looking to get the gold moogle belt. Is there a certain amount of days I need to wait to get that one specificly? Or is it just completly random?
Do I have a chance to get it even if I dont wait at all?

So... is the Rod the only one of the 3 categories worth trying for? The furnishing and the headpiece both seem pretty shitty.

It's not like any of them are "good" - all three of them are just rare event-specific gear that was only given out on a couple of specific occasions. Redeyes I think was only given out in that event prior to WotG release and some recent mog bonanzas, Rolanberry Delightaru has only been given out for special twitter/forum contest things, and Nomad Moogle Rod has only been a rank 3 bonanza prize.

You can d/c but don't know if that was fixed in the maintenance.

Today the npc was showing me the HQ wand and gave me a NQ still.
The other days he was showing/giving the NQ.
edit: also I talked to the Rod NPC in Sandy yesterday, Bastok today, tomorrow I will try Windy.
