1080p on PS4, cross-play between PS4 & PS3

Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign will feature cross-play across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, this week’s Famitsu reveals.

The currently available arcade version runs at 720p, but the PlayStation 4 version will run at full HD 1080p.

The PlayStation versions will also feature at least one new character. Story mode is also said to be set apart from the conventional.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign will launch this fall in North America and this year in Japan.

Console details

Story Mode

A new mode continuing further than the story of the arcade version. The story will be told through an adventure game-like format, but will enforce new experiments to set it apart from the arcade version.

October 21, 2187. 12:12 p.m.

A young woman who calls herself Ramletherl Valentine has declared war against the world. Not a single individual, organization, or countries took this declaration as a laughing matter. Because of the prior “Baptism 13 Incident,” during which the capital of the Illyria Kingdom suffered a violent assault, the attacker also referred to herself as “Valentine.” Now, to make sure of the truth of the matter, the world must take action.

Network Mode

With the home console release, you can play online against players across the country. Cross-platform play will allow PlayStation 4 owners and PlayStation 3 owners the ability to play together. Additionally, both versions of the game can share save data and trophies.

Tutorial and Challenge Modes

In the home console release, Arc System Works has not only re-adjusted game modes that appeared in the arcade version, but added new Tutorial and Challenge modes, too.

Tutorial Mode will let newcomers hone their skills and learn how to play. Challenge Mode will let players put to the test the practical operation of their characters.

M.O.M. Mode

M.O.M. Mode, or Medal of Millionaire Mode, is a single-player mode where players fight against AI-controlled characters to earn medals that strengthen your character. Using the medals you obtain, it’s possible to purchase new skills and items in this RPG-like character development mode.

There are plans to support network play in this mode.

New Character

A new character is being added to the home console release. As for which new character is participating, however, you’ll have to wait for a future update.

All existing characters will return, including Ramletherl Valentine, who was added to the arcade version of the game post-launch.

Resolution

On PlayStation 4, the game is rendered in full-high definition 1080p.

Ky Kiske and Dizzy’s son, Sin Kiske, will be playable in Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, this week’s Famitsu reveals.

Sin is voiced by Issei Miyazaki. He has a parameter called “Full Stomach,” which decreases each time you use a special move. If you use up all of your Full Stomach from using up your special moves, you’ll need to recharge your Full Stomach by eating during battle.

Ky and Dizzy have a kid? I haven't followed Guilty Gear since Dustloop was Gamecombos, but this sounds straight out of a fanfiction.

Don't know why you're hanging off the rim on this one, you sounded like you didn't want Sin in the game.
Maybe he's the robo ky replacement with his alt resource system but yeah I hated playing as robo ky, too.

Which Robo ky did you hate?

I personally hated the new idiotic one (introduced in #reload)

However, the one in XX (X2) (vanilla) was great I thought. The moveset was basically Ky EX's move and he his stance is slouched/corrupted, as well as his weight properties were increased (he feels "heavy"), but had they given it the new Robo Ky's face and fleshed out his attacks a bit more in a fashion similar to Sol and Order Sol I think it'd work good.

Man, I was wondering why I didn't know a new GG game came out, so I looked it up and it's not a fighting game...

According to the wiki, Dizzy is stuck in Ky's sword (?) to protect her from getting destroyed, and Sin has daddy issues because of this.
