Looked over what's known so far, Leo is going to be top tier. Full screen S Fireball, better hitboxes, able to combo off a S Flash kick trade. He's already got the damage potential, and fixing some of his holes is gonna make him a beast.

Anyone tried to play online today? Wondering if it's the game itself or Comcast that decided to commit seppuku. Loading time between fights is in the like 2+ minute range.

Haven't tried in a couple days, been playing at my place w/ flocker, his brother and my other boys locally. Learning Sin, Flocker's ky is pretty fucking legit, but holy shit finally playing locally felt amazing and let me know that i can wreck face offline.

I'm kinda on the fence about it. Problem I have is getting a game for $20-24 during a sale and seeing two characters at $8 each sitting there that I might want to play. Does the PS4 release support PS3 sticks by any chance?

Getting AC+R for $3 for my Vita at the least. A shame the PS3 version of it didn't get a sale price also.

i'm still waiting for the ps4 skullgirls drivers to be approved, but i'm pretty damn sure those aren't coming out anytime soon, so no ps3 sticks yet. I might end up pre-ordering the new hori HRAP Kai stick that's coming out on march 2nd for $150, which the price is fair for a ps3/ps4 stick. It is also moddable as i plan to take out the Kuro buttons for the sanwas.

Elphelt was free for the first 2 weeks of release, even if you didn't buy the game, you were still able to download elph, now it's too late. Leo's a good character overall and he's very damn good online, however you can see his flaws when you play w/ him tho. Personally i can't stand playing elph cuz super top tier whoring and Leo cuz i don't enjoy rekka characters. Sin is just massive fun, you can unlock him. If you plan to play on stick, just get the ps3 version, seriously the game may look uglier, but i've come to terms that i don't care and i want to play on my 8arc. At this point, i bought the ps4 version, cuz holy shit going from $60 to $24 is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge discount and you can't pass that up. Hell the PS3 version alone is $50, so you can now net both games for under the price of the PS3 version until sunday. It's definitely worth it, imo this is anime FG at it's finest.

Just one addendum to Nits there, Leo is honestly not that good of a character at current. He can succeed because he is still wildly unfamiliar to alot of people, but once you understand his frames and realize how slow he actually he is he gets much much worse.

He's alot like Makoto in SF4. If your opponent just decides to disrespect the crap out of you and mash their way thru any kind of setups/mixups, it severely hampers alot of Leo's game. There are ways to deal with mashers/spammers, but it hinders Leo's game quite a bit. The issue is grossly exacerbated against any characters with 3/4 frame normals.

I really do hope that driver becomes wide-spread in future fighting games once it's out since this is something Sony should have written themselves.

Ended up getting Xrd & +R after realizing I had $15 sitting in my PSN wallet. Not played a GG much since XX, and a little of AC on the Wii, so I got some learning to do. Mostly stuck with Blazblue last gen until Aksys decided to shit on themselves with pointless releases and DLC milking. No stick for now is going to suck though, but it does act as a decent excuse to get a new one that's PS4/3/PC compatible, unlike my old MadCat SE which I can't be arsed to dual-mod.

Aside from my thumb hurting like hell flubbing the half circle motions a lot on dpad, are there any Potemkin vids worth a watch since I missed that stream?

I'm not quite understanding how to play him effectively. Mainly wanting to learn him since he's essentially the OG Tager (magnetism aside), but it seems his only options to close distance is his charge B->F HS and his j.HCF HS?

Hammerfall (the charge move) is his primary method of closing distance, specifically with the cancel. With said cancel he's effectively able to cancel normals into a dash, which against players who are good at HFB (Hammerfall Break) is terrifying. His other good option for covering ground is j41236HS with an instant YRC. The momentum of the move will catapult Pot across the screen without the huge recovery frames of the move.

Just remember watching any FAB videos that he's not actually human, just an algorithm set to be the perfect Potemkin player.
