Revelator coming to EU June 10th, Published by PQube
http://www.ricedigital.co.uk/guilty-...qube-announce/Europe always gets Arc System Works’ games ages after everyone else, right? Well, it seems like that’s true no longer! PQube have managed to somehow pull a Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator Europe release the same week as North America out of their hat. It will release 10th June 2016, the same week as NA, just a few weeks after Japan.
It’s fair to say that after Guilty Gear Xrd Sign‘s strange European release many fans weren’t sure what to expect with Revelator in Europe. But, after PQube handled BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend‘s European release (another ASW title that had been absent from Europe) many began to think PQube could be doing Guilty Gear too. Turns out they were right!
What most people didn’t expect was how soon the European release would be coming. Generally European fans have had to wait for a while for it to go from Japan to America, and then even longer to get it over here. Now it seems that the North American and European versions of Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator will be launching in the same week, and just a few short weeks after the Japanese release (we’re not quite sure when this will be, but it seems like it could be some time in May, possibly late May).
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator is the next version of Guilty Gear Xrd after the very well received Guilty Gear Xrd Sign, though the European release was frustratingly missing several key patches. Sign revamped Guilty Gear into 3D, but at the same time kept the celebrated 2D stylings that the series was well known for, not sacrificing, but actually improving, its look in the transition.
Revelator introduces 6 new characters, a new gameplay type (Stylish Type), a new online lobby, new story, and even more bits and bobs. It’s far from being a simple shove it out the door enhancement. This is more a refinement, building upon the success of the original.
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator is certainly coming to Europe pretty hard. It’s a great step forward to seeing Japanese companies making a real move to shorten the gap between their regional releases, especially for a game as competitive as this one. Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator will be part of EVO 2016’s line up.
6 new characters...? I can only remember johnny, jam, jack-o, and the new body suit thing.
Dizzy is on the way, and I believe they said they were gonna do another vote? Or maybe they are just gonna add baiken or whoever was second the ballot. Either way I'm pretty sure they mentioned there would be another classic character getting added.
If there's gonna be a 6th we don't know atm I guess.
Everyone's pointing at Raven, given his assets already being present. Similar to the Sin addition.
If it were to be another OG classic, testament, baiken, justice, and Kliff are left. If it's a XX classic, ffs bridget or anji, please come!
They ever tweak or get rid of danger time?
I think it does happen less now, but outside of Throw Breaks, Burst Overdrive, and Blitz Shield changes there isn't really anything new being added changed other then more characters. The existing characters didn't even have any rebalancing at last check.
On mobile and don't have time to post the link but Raven is the 6th character.
http://gematsu.com/2016/02/first-loo...-xrd-revelatorRaven, voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto, is the right-hand man and swears absolute loyalty to “That Man,” and holds the key to the story. He has an immortal body and no life span. Although he feels almost nothing, only pain lets him taste that fresh sensation.
Raven has long-reaching attacks, meaning he specializes in fighting from the middle of the field. His biggest appeal is his “I Want It Here” special move which fills a special gauge that powers up all sorts of his attacks. During the power-up, in addition to increasing his pure offensive ability, it also changes the performance of some of his special attacks. Since receiving too much damage will naturally knock you out, managing Raven’s health is more important compared to when playing as other characters.
